Hiya everyone - I’m biting the bullet and going to try weight loss injections, I’ve a huge amount to lose and my local nhs trust hasn’t yet approved funding so I have read up on loads and loads and think I’m leaning towards wegovy - the issue is now there’s so many online places to buy from and Juniper keep popping up - has anyone got any recommendations for the best one or ones to avoid!

any hints/tips/ money off codes also welcome!
thank you!

Look at https://igovy.co.uk/ for a price comparison for Wegovy, and https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/ for Mounjaro price comparison. The lists indicate what discounts are available and what the codes are for them.

All the pharmacies listed are GPhC registered.

Can I ask why Wegovy and not Mounjaro?

London Slimming Clinic provide both types of medication and are not a subscription service. Order on a Friday and a Saturday delivery.
Hassle free.

DPD delivery.

I don’t use discount codes and never will do, it just feels odd to me.

Just about to see what the new order experience looks like.

I’ve been fully on it with Wegovy starter dose but only lost half a pound in three weeks but feel my body shape has changed, can get my hands on my hips etc.

Tbh I’m not really sure - I think maybe because I don’t have diabetes - it’s something that I did want to talk to the online people about as well before I make my final decision. Thanks for the links though I will have a look

Nearly all providers are non-subscription. Many use DPD and deliver next day.

London Slimming Clinic seem very expensive for the starter dose of Wegovy, at £179, when the cheapest provider on the list I linked to is £69 with a new customer discount. In fact there are only 3 providers that are more expensive.

SilenceInside · 20/02/2025 14:18

I don't have diabetes, not sure what the relevance of that is to whether to use Wegovy or Mounjaro? I'm using Mounjaro and have been since July last year.

Mounjaro has been shown in trials to produce more weight loss than Wegovy. However, Wegovy seems cheaper, especially at the lower doses, as far as I can see at the moment.

SevernWonders · 20/02/2025 14:44

I have used Zava, Oushk and IQ Doctor and all have been great. I move round to make the most of discounts, but will probably go back to Oushk for maintenance.

Mounjaro has better results than Wegovy but anecdotally (from friends who have used them) Wegovy seems to have less side effects.

IHateMozzies · 20/02/2025 15:34

I think most people on here use mounjaro. Wegovy gets very expensive the higher the dose and mounjaro seems to have better results. Have a look here for some comparison info: https://onlinedoctor.superdrug.com/best-weight-loss-injections.html

I’ve used Superdrug, Medexpress and IQ Doctor, all good, all similar service levels.

Good luck x

@BoobBar77 you are NOT allowed to post your code on this board!!

Justbrowsing2024 · 20/02/2025 17:56

I used the comparison website and went for the cheapest option with a new customer discount code. Have ordered the next dose up with a different company using a discount code. Will keep using the cheapest option I can find until I am close to maintenance then will go with a provider that offers a maintenance dose

alwaysthepessimist · 20/02/2025 18:19

Doesn’t get cheaper as you lose weight?

Both medications get more expensive as you go to higher doses, which makes sense as there is more of the actual medication per dose.

No the stronger the dose the more expensive. There are alot of pharmacies that prescribe so you can be a first time customer for a good while I'd imagine
