Dr is prescribing ascends for a BMI of 30 but also to reduce cholesterol rather than just statins .

I don't know anything about this drug . I've met the dr today . Can anyone advise please? Thinking about weight loss, lowering cholesterol, side effects etc. all advice appreciated as I'm a bit nervous , thanks .

Are you going to be on Saxenda daily? You start on 0.6.

I liked Saxenda and lost the majority of weight on it.
I always did the injection at night so I could sleep through any side effects was my thoughts.

I had no major side effects except (and I’m finding the same now I’m on Wegovy) and that’s a little constipation but I’m on other medications as well.
Always eaten whole foods/meals and lots of water.
