Anyone else experienced skin sensitivity?

Week 14 on MJ here but over the last few I have noticed increased skin sensitivity, it eventually goes over the week. Only to come back when i inject again.

The skin sensitivity isn't related to injection site. It starts on my knuckles and spreads over the first 72 hours. It spreads all down my fingers and up my arm to my shoulder, across shoukders to chest then fades.

Its a very odd sensation, almost like a mild burn. Even the slightest touch is painful.

I didn't connect it to MJ initially but I am thinking they could be connected. I am currently taking 7.5mg - week 5 of this and have no other symptoms at any dose.

This week its particularly painful. I am wondering if this is a result of the build up of MJ in my system. I have emailed my provider to ask too.

Yep every week. This one has been the worst so far. A patch by my knee and one on my bum cheek.

Yes!! Only noticed this on 7.5 but I get it in my toes. Starts feeling like a burn and gets gradually better over the week until my next injection.

Yes absolutely. I've not experienced it for some months now but odly its started to happen again this week. My neck and my back this time around but was my arms previously.

@Somewheresunnywithwine @dodgemall @Bs0u416d whilst I am pleased its not all in my head, I'm sorry you have the same symptoms. Mine is so painful today I am wondering if I should come off MJ. Do you just put up with it or is there anything we can take to reduce the symptom?

The shotsy app tells me I have around 9.78mg in my system today. This side effect would certainly stop me going upto 10mg.

I just try to ignore it. I'm on 15mg now and have been for a few months. This week has been the worst so far for sensitive skin though. Feels like sunburn and turning over in bed was awful!

Doggymummar · 09/02/2025 19:46

Yes on my face cheeks. I just ignore it

Methemummy · 09/02/2025 19:48

Ignoring isn't really an option. I'm right handed and uts my right arm affected. I literally can't work without being in pain.

Some people suggest trying deep heat or tiger balm on the area. Trick the skin into feeling something different.

Ibuprofen works, either the gel or just tablets. For some reason paracetamol did nothing but ibuprofen seems to help alot.
