Anyone done the blood test pre-Mounjaro with Numan?

I'd like to know what kind of blood testing kit Numan send out when you order one with your first Mounjaro.
The picture I can see on their website looks like the fingertip kit but I want the Tasso kit. I see they have instructions for both but which do they send?

Is anyone able to confirm please?

Nah. What’s it for? Do you pay extra for it?!

StayingHealthy · 09/02/2025 21:51

Nope. I did a full health and full heart check with bluecrest health. I got a voucher from Groupon so it was about £100 for a full blood count, full body fat check, full heart check incl. ECG, and more! Felt great to have a full body MOT before starting the jabs :)

I was with Numan, I never had one of these. Must be new I guess

BlunderMifflin · 09/02/2025 21:57

I don't know if it's new, it's an optional extra.

It's just a way to monitor certain health markers over time while you're on the jabs, (cholesterol, etc.) Yes it costs a bit more.

It says on their website that it's a finger prick test:

https://www.numan.com/diagnostics/weight-loss-blood-test

It's in the faqs section.

Sounds like a nice bit of money making from Numan.

if you’re on the jabs, most of your worrying indicators are going to improve. Like HbA1c, probably cholesterol if you’re eating and drinking less, etc.

They will then be able to say -“look! it’s not just weight loss you’re getting”!. Bit like Zoë.

IMHO you don’t need this but if you can afford this then it’s possibly slightly interesting and if it keeps you motivated…

but it’s not a surprise that a diabetes medication will reduce diabetes metrics….

Thanks @SilenceInside , I was looking at a different FAQ page and it didn't say that there!

And you're quite right @Undrugged, there's not really any need I guess.
