Severe muscle pains Mounjaro

I had my first injection of Mounjaro 2.5 yesterday. About 8 hours later started with heavy aching pain across entire body from waist up (legs are fine) - this has worsened since and is particularly bad around my neck and jaw. All the muscles are tender to touch. It feels like the aching to the arm after an injection but widespread.

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last? Muscle pain wasn’t listed on the side effects list I was given.

There's been a few people that had this experience. For me it lasted around 48 hours, basically felt like I'd been bruised everywhere

Yeah it's a side effect. I felt like I had flu like muscle aches in the first few injections. 8 mths later it's not a side effect for me anymore. It will pass.

Yes it lasted 48hrs and has now settled.
i messaged my prescribing pharmacy and they said it is a known side effect and to drink plenty of water and rest. Though it’s known it doesn’t seem to be in the literature sent out!

If it’s a known effect it should be listed by the manufacturer. Please consider reporting your experience to the Yellow Card scheme, OP.

I have had the same thing happen to me. Did yours go away ot get worse?
