Commiserations to anyone doing a reverse tortoise, we've all been there.

I did my bonus jab of 2.5 today, order is already in for 5. I'm away at the weekend so I'm going to do my 1 month weigh in on Friday. I would be delighted if I could get to 10lb but I think staying at 8lb is more likely, I've been eating more these last couple of days, and not drinking anywhere near enough water.

I've had pretty much the same loss as you (we started on the same day). My body has totally gotten used to 2.5 the past couple of weeks, and this past week especially I have had food noise return with a vengeance! I had a huge meal last night which was totally the opposite to my high protein/low carb I've been eating the past 4 weeks so I decided not to jab last night in case it makes me ill. I was going to do the bonus dose but I think I might go straight onto my 5mg pen since the past week has been so difficult. I'm going to do it tonight I think!

Has anyone got any got supplement recommendations? I am so, so exhausted, feel like I'm dragging myself along. This could be mj, low nutrition or my general very stressful life but I can't go on like this. Hoping it's something as simple as low iron.

I'm taking nutrabytes collagen powder (recommended on here) also nutrabytes vitamin D supplements and nutrigeeks iron tablets (all from Amazon). They're really reasonably priced and about 6 months supply. I've only been taking them a couple of weeks but I have noticed I don't feel quite as tired the last few days so maybe they're doing something! I'm definitely not getting enough nutrients in my food so had to do something.

I'm also taking collagen (tablets not powder), iron (ferrous fumarate) and vitamin D. Might also be worth taking B12 if you are eating very little. I have pernicious anaemia which means I can't absorb b12 so have regular injections for that.
I really like Voy's meal analysis for looking forward to post-MJ life. Gives you a breakdown of whatever you upload and tips to improve next time. Really helpful in retraining your mind to what you should be eating. shame they don't do any kind of maintenance plan. I'm sticking with them for now but I will have to switch at some point.

Good luck whatever you decide! I've definitely noticed less suppression, so on Wed I'm definitely going for 5mg.

Week 8 day one for me, third jab of 5mg when I get in from work.
Today I am HUNGRY I've been thinking about lunch since about 10.30.
Although I haven't had anything, and not remotely tempted by the chocolate and crisps that are here.
Still no side effects from the 5mg, although I have been ill for a week now, it's a horrible virus thing that's been going round at work. I feel much more human today.

SW 214.3lbs
CW 185lbs
GW 168lbs

So that's another 3.3lbs off this week.
And I finally found my tape measure, so after not measuring last week, I've lost nothing off my waist in 2 weeks, and have lost an inch off my hips in 2 weeks.

So jab 6 tonight. I think I am going to do 3.75 rather than 5 (maybe 5 in subsequent weeks) but I have a week of meetings and travel with work next week so I need to manage potential side effects. I am still kinda losing on 2.5 albeit a bit more will power so time to move up but happy to have a more gentle climb.

Supplement wise I take magnesium, vitamin d, colllegen, creatine (good for the brain) and q10 (for migraines). This is fondly known as 'mothers pill salad'. Nothing to do with the mj, more to do with sleep/migraines/peri but I do feel much better and notice when I miss the magnesium and q10 especially

Can anyone recommend collagen in capsule or gummy form? I’ve done liquids and powders before and found them really disgusting.

And I think there were recommendations for a high tech tape measure? I have a vision of the one in Harry Potter that just measures all by itself, including random things like the distance between nostrils!

For supplements, I have been taking iron, VitD and B12 for a couple of years now, as had a massive deficiency in all of those. I don't eat meat, so harder to get iron and b12 anway.
In addition started taking collagen (capsules) and creatine now on mj. And will occastioanlly take magnesium if I have restless legs.

Has anyone stayed on 2.5. I've already bought the 5ml pen but I'm struggling with the nausea. Not every day but when it comes it's horrific and I've had awful vomiting and diarrhoea. I've lost pretty well on 2.5 and suppression seems ok.
I treated myself yesterday and I ate about 10 Pringles yesterday and had a can of Diet Coke and I've felt absolutely grim for about 12 hours

Opinions welcome

Just took the plunge and ordered MJ. Just got my first dose. Really scared and anxious. Worried about serious side effects (and side effects such as diarrhoea, stomach pain, constipation).
Going to stay away from greasy/spicy foods. But what about the odd glass or two of wine? Coffee?

I know there's probably loads of info on here but really looking for some quick advice before taking my first dose this afternoon

I think if you’re losing on 2.5, stay there for now. If it stops working for you and the side effects have gone, then it’s time to think about moving up.

*arealnewbie *side effects are really individual, I haven't had any. Well, feeling cold, but no nausea or stomach issues. No problems with spicy food or coffee either. Or wine, when I have had it, but I really don't fancy any alcohol at the moment.

There is a Feb starters thread if you want support from people who started the same time as you, as well as us lot who are a little ahead of you.

Honestly, there is such variation in terms of how much suppression you will get, any side effects, and weight loss.

I always jab on a Tuesday night and have massive suppression Weds Thursday Fri. Then it gradually tails off so by Tuesday I am eating a little more, but still a tiny fraction of what I ate before.

Dont be alarmed if you wake up and have zero interest in food, and can only manage a couple of mouthfuls of yoghurt or something. That’s the medication working!

I have had minimal side effects over all. Some constipation the first few weeks. Freezing cold. Tired. Some mild nausea.

I started Jan 8 at 13 stone 7 and now weigh 12 stone 2. I am disabled so do minimal exercise. This stuff works!

I have! Just jabbed today so that will be week 8 of 2.5.

I also have a 5mg pen, but I'm still not really hungry, no bad side effects but can enjoy a decent dinner so I'm going to stick with the lower dose for now.

SW (2nd Jan) 12st 7lb (Height 5ft 4) BMI 30

GW 9st 7 ish

I had a couple of weeks there where the scale only shifted by 1lb a week, so this week I've made an effort to keep lunch kcal low (I'm not a good calorie counter, can't be bothered so doing this for one meal only helps!). I have either a 1 scoop Huel shake or a cup a soup, aiming at around 200kcal lunch. I always have a similar breakfast (weigh my cereal, oat milk and a coffee, under 300kcal), so it leaves me a decent amount to not have to calorie count every dinner. Down 2lb this week so that's what I want to stay on track, and will try to continue in this way. If that becomes difficult I'll move to 3.75mg and go from there.

Had a 2lb loss this week which I'm surprised about as I haven't had the easiest week food/exercise wise - had another poorly DS off school for two days and also half term here too so really unable to get to the gym and haven't to make do with taking them out for a bike ride while I power walk after them.
5mg seems to be really working for both me and DH (he's lost 1.5 stone since the beginning of jan!) at the moment so think we'll stick here for a while until one or both is us decide it's not working as well as we want it to.

Hi all! Congrats to all those with losses and solidarity to the tortoises. My loss has reay slowed this week to half a pound. I have been drinking more alcohol this week albeit all within my cal allowance and measured exactly. But I have noticed that with an increase in boozing I've also had more food noise for junk and have overindulged (albeit calorie tracked) on sweet and salty popcorn.
I've had 7 jabs of 2.5mg and I think it might be time this eve to hit 3.75mg. I'm worried about side effects so want to so some weeks on bridging dose before hitting 5. Feeling anxious to even increase to 3.75 tbh!

Start date 2nd Jan- 285lbs
CW 254lbs
GW 173lbs
31lb loss so faro on 2.5mg so far.

I like that loser town link! According to that I'll hit 173lbs at start of next January so exactly a year almost from start date.

Jab day for me today, have just done my 3rd 5mg dose. Still haven’t had any bad side effects, just feeling cold. Had another good loss on the scales this week and suppression is still super strong so I’m planning to stay on 5mg for another month and see how I go.
