Joint pain?

Morning everybody,

My mom is currently in her second week of Mounjaro 2.5mg. Main side effects seem to be fatigue and worse/more joint pain.

Has anybody else experienced this? She does have osteoarthritis in her hips (one of the reasons for weight loss) but she seems to be in quite a bit more pain in joints that aren’t normally too bad.

Does she usually take oral pain relief for the joint pain?

Yes she does x

As mounjaro slows stomach emptying it can take longer to absorb orla drugs including painkillers. essentially she probably just isn't absorbing as much.

It may be worth a conversation with her GP / the pharmacist to see if they recommend changing her pain medication
