So I was 9st when I finished MJ.

And I overshot a little from my target to account for natural settling.

I think I'm about 9st1.5lbs right now but I'm trying not to stress too much Iver my digital scales.

I'm using my Dr's ones and as long as I'm hanging out around 9 I'm happy.

I don't want to get hung up on small numbers.

Hunger isn't back as badly as I expected.

Drinking water is really helping to sate that.

I'm trying to just do lunch and dinner and minimal snacks.

And not allowing myself sugary things or chocolate daily because it messes with my sleeve.

Am feeling pretty positive considering I was terrified to come off the jabs.

Wow, well done 👏

So you consistently lost pretty much every week? How tall are you and how many calories do you eat if you don't mind me asking? I'm guessing you started MJ bc your weight loss stalled with the sleeve?

What is your plan going forwards? If you start to gain again will you try to get prescribed it again? This is my main concern tbh, that il come off, the weight will start going back on and I won't be able to get it again.

Kizmette · 07/02/2025 11:02

First check in / weigh in 2 weeks after finishing and am 9st 0.5lbs.

Really happy with that.

I'm 5ft 5. Yes losses were very consistent

I don't calorie count so have absolutely no idea!
Yes I just stopped losing weight and hit a natural plateau for nearly a year.

I don't plan on going back on it. I think it would be difficult at my weightyo be prescribed now and I'd have to gain a lot to get back to BMI 30 (am 21 now)

My plan is to just be mindful of what I eat. Try not to snack and eat twice a day, aiming for protein rich food.

Still not feeling the hunger like I used to. It's there but I feel like I have more of a handle on the compulsion now? And because I'm actually at goal I feel like I really want to stay here. Whereas before I've always had 'more to do'

Well done OP, that’s a wonderful journey. 🏆

Kizmette · 07/03/2025 18:25

Really keen to follow as similar height to you, a lot to lose and really worried about long term weight maintenance but...

*how did you get wls at 17st? I'm 20stone and only just being put on the list but hoping mk will work.

And more aptly perhaps how on earth did you get prescribed MJ at 11.9? That's like only 10lbs overweight???

GoldfinchesInTheTree · 07/03/2025 20:48

I don't think I've ever been 9st. That is every low for someone who has been obese for someone 5ft5.

valder · 07/03/2025 20:52

Great achievement well done.

What is the ideal healthy weight for 5.5. anyway? I'm same height and 66kilos and doc says stay there and don't diet. I just use intermittent fasting but not religiously, it's more of a discipline to keep me out of the biscuit tin than anything else!

GoldfinchesInTheTree · 07/03/2025 20:55

Anything under 10 10is healthy (10 10 is bmi 25)

Chasing 9stone is nuts (there's another thread wanting similar.)

I was 9stone for a long time before I had kids.

My BMI now is 21!! Bang in the middle of healthy. Absolutely nowhere near underweight.
I'm a size 10/12

10st10 is just in healthy. Yes so just a 1lb gain would pit me into the overweight category again. How is that healthy?

Being right in the middle of the green is PERFECT and that's where I am!

WLS. I paid for it privately.

Mounjaro. At 5ft5 and 11st9lbs my BMI was 27.1 and I had weight related secondary issues so was prescribed it perfectly legitimately.

Had an appointment at a clinic (unrelated to weight) this morning and the nurse said they still have me down as morbidly obese on my records.

She asked if she could weigh me to update the records and said my weight is 'spot on' and congratulated me.

First time in a long time I've had a positive weight related conversation with a medical professional and am feeling very happy

This is reassuring, I’ve just gone back on MJ as I came off too early and not at goal weight and have gained 3 lbs back - need to get to Gw 9s7lbs then work harder at maintenance

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 14/03/2025 12:01

Well done, that's inspiring ! Lots of lovely new summer clothes. 👏

9 stone is perfectly healthy at 5.5.

Get yourself over to Style and Beauty. Capsule wardrobe for the reborn!

I find its useful to find fairly expensive brands and then mimic the look with less expensive options with a couple of higher quality things thrown in. If funds allow though you should definitely treat yourself to something nice. That’s a huge accomplishment and you have presumably saved yourself about 300 quid coming off Mounjaro and keeping your weight stable. £150 a month is a decent clothing /holiday / self care budget!
