Can anyone advise what to expect from the maintenance consultation with Oushk?
Next available is 11 March so they’re booking quite far ahead!

My understanding is that it’s merely a chat about what your plan is and if it’s viable and how they can support you - do you want to taper off, stay on the same dose, taper down to lowest effective dose, do a month on/month off, space out shots etc

@Buttons0522 how did it go? Mine is booked for end of May.

I had mine a few weeks ago and Hera was lovely. It lasted around 5 minutes.

She asked what I wanted my maintenance plan to look like and I said (to taper down slowly), which she was happy with and then sent me three codes to use for my next three pens (with a 15% discount on each one).

@Paperwhite13 thank you! Do you think you’ll stay on a low dose or taper down and stop?

Paperwhite13 · 14/03/2025 19:27

@DGonMJI’m going to try coming off it completely and see how I get on. If I don’t change anything food/ exercise wise and gain significantly then I’m not opposed to going back on a very low dose, but ideally I’d like to not use it indefinitely.

The highest dose I got to was 7.5mg and I’m currently on 5mg (first month of maintenance) and I’m losing still. I was going to do another 5mg next month but think I’ll do 2.5mg to see what it’s like. Then, maybe another 2.5mg and then try to stop or do 1.25mg maybe?

@DGonMJ really useful! Hira is clearly very knowledgeable. I’ve had to miss a few weeks due to illness so needed some advice about restarting etc. so it was very well timed and helpful. I gave my weight loss history and my goals and was advised that taper would work well but it all seems very flexible and supportive. Coming from MedExpress, it’s been a shock!!

Sounds like a good plan. Out of interest did she recommend 1.25mg - or was it 2.5mg every two weeks?

I’m currently working my way up to 5mg on my third pen, but am thinking I’m two pens away from goal. I’m then hoping to taper down to 2.5mg and maybe then 1.25mg until microdosing becomes available.

That’s reassuring to hear! Feels like £5 well spent!

@DGonMJNo, she didn’t.. just my thinking.
