Explosive Stomach

Since my 2nd 10mg injection a week ago, I’ve had an uncontrollable explosive upset stomach, to the extent that it’s leaked a couple of times. I’m barely eating because of it and it’s the most unpleasant thing. That’s coming from someone who’s got IBS. It’s like I’m peeing from my bum.

Ive had no side effects up to now, my IBS actually been the most controlled in years. I’ve been slightly smug about how little I’ve suffered but this is something else. I’ve been on MJ since August.

Ive been taking Imodium, but obviously that’s not a long term fix. Has anyone got any words of wisdom for me please! Does it go away or am I now stuck with this? I don’t think I could put up with it long term, I feel like an old lady being fecal incontinent. I’m constantly scared that I’m going to leak because of it and it’s embarrassing.

That sounds awful, can you reduce your dose back down to 7.5 mg by counting clicks before your next injection?

Could it possibly be that you've caught one of the horrible gut viruses that are currently doing the rounds? A friend was telling me yesterday that she has had the explosive runs for 4 days, and she doesn't have IBS and isn't on weight loss injections.

I had similar after a couple of 10mg doses, so I went back down to 7.5mg for a few weeks and it settled straight away on a lower dose.

That wasn't working so well for me after Christmas so I braved it and tried 10 again. I've had 3 doses now of 10mg this time and I've been fine.

Yes, reduce your dose for now. Have you eaten anything differently this time? Fried chicken set off my worst stomach issues, my own fault!!

I am so sorry, that sounds awful. I would honestly go and see the GP. Diarrhoea is a common side effect but fecal incontinence is not.
