When to take - and what to expect

Hi All
I ordered Mounjaro before xmas and haven't actually plucked up the courage to start yet.
What I cant decide is when to take it - as in the best day and the best time of day?
If anyone is willing to share experience and thoughts I would appreciate it.
Basically I work monday to Friday so dont want to interfere with that so thought I would take Friday evening. But I have started with a personal trainer at 8am Saturday morning so dont want to mess that up either argh.
Is Saturday lunch time ok do we think?
Enough time for me to adjust to initial symptoms before Monday morning?
So confused x

Unfortunately the side effects don’t necessarily come straight away - and everyone is different. I was fine for 2 weeks and then side effects hit three days after my third jab and I was very unwell for two days. I’m now seven weeks in and tend to get mild symptoms two or three days after my jab.

Of course you may be lucky and get none at all!

It takes between 8 to 72 hours for the dose to reach its peak in your system. Some people don't get much effect from the initial 2.5mg, some people do. Side effects aren't neatly timed for a certain period after injecting, if you get them at all.

You can also change the day you inject if you find the day you chose doesn't suit you. I would just go with Friday evening and see how you get on.

I do a sat morning, something like 80 percent of folks have no side effects, and if you take it before you go, to the personal trainer, the odds of it having an immediate impact are incredibly low.

one things for sure. It’s not doing any good in your fridge.

Honestly, just start and then work out if you need to tweak the day or time once you know how you respond as it's different for everyone. I jab on a Friday night as Friday is my 'calories don't count' day, plus I tended to snack more at weekends and wanted to cut that out the most. I'm lucky that I had strong suppression from day 1, but other people don't at all on the low doses, or it takes a couple of days to kick in. Likewise some people have no symptoms and other really suffer.

Thanks all - I did pt my fears to one side and took Saturday morning.
Had some side effects mostly sulphur burps which drive me mad!
Felt a little nauseous but nothing dreadful.
Defo worked with the suppressant side of things!
trying to just ear health meals now in a deficit but cut snacking right out

Sulphur burps are due to slow gastric emptying but also by what you’re eating coupled with that slow emptying,,ie certain foods, garlic, onions, eggs, beans, booze, fizzy drinks, too much sugar etc.cause it.

I’ve never had them, and I eat /drink very Limited to no quantities of those, which may explain it, so worth examining diet to see if you can reduce anything there to help.

I did eat eggs in the morning and then later did a pasta dish but it did have onion and garlic in. Oh I had a can of fizzy too.
Can eliminate onions and garlic but I do like a couple of eggs a week for the protein. Will cut down and see if it makes a difference x

Yes that’s what I would do. Reduce one my one or eliminate one by one, see if there is a specific food causing it, or just reduce overall.

hut as said, 4 months in, never had these and I don’t really have those things, so suspect there is something in it.

Interestingly I've never (touch wood) had the sulphur burps yet either and I have to avoid a lot on that list for my IBS. Mind you eggs have always been great for my tummy so it might just be luck!
