5mg from a 7.5 pen

Please can anyone confirm how many clicks this would be?

I feel like I’ve read 30 clicks (instead of 45) in the past.

The full dose is 60 clicks, on any pen. You want 5mg from 7.5mg, which is two thirds (5/7.5). Two thirds of 60 is 40, so you want 40 clicks. 30 clicks would be a half dose on any pen.

ahh It’s 60 clicks thank you! Happy to do the maths myself, just couldn’t remember how many was a full dose. Never expected to be using it outside of the planned doses but DH wants to come back down one jab early.

another way …

dose you want divided by pen strength x 60
5 divided by 7.5 x 60 = 40 clicks
