Decreasing from 2.5mg to 1.25mg

I have been on 2.5mg for 2 weeks now. Not feeling great. Though overweight, I was almost a healthy BMI so not carrying lots of extra weight so I wondered how 2.5mg might impact me... It impacted me lots. Suppression was high and stomach pains were irritating along with urination happening frequently. I thought about not taking my third dose tomorrow as it seemed to be almost working too strongly (by the way I had my kidneys etc checked last week). My thought is to take 1.25mg to still keep the benefit of some suppression. Obviously I will still throw the pen away after 30 days but wondered if anyone had experienced this

Your previous posts say you started this with a BMI of 25 (or 26).

You need to speak to your provider who incorrectly prescribed to you, against prescription guidelines, with an almost healthy/healthy BMI - assuming you filled in the consultation truthfully.

No one should give out what might be wrong health advice for someone who is misusing obesity medication for cosmetic weight loss. You need professional guidance what to do.

Why are you taking these if you’re nearly a healthy weight?

HansHolbein · 24/01/2025 16:51

Hopefully nobody will advise you since you have fraudulently acquired this medication and deceived Numan.

Maybe ask them, but as you have lied I’m not sure how you are going to get the correct medical advice without admitting you lied.

Disgusting tbh.

ThatCoralShark · 24/01/2025 16:52

You lied? And now wonder wh you’re unwell??

IrisPallida · 25/01/2025 12:50

According to posts on Reddit there are now fake Mounjaro pens in circulation.

Hopefully you did in fact lie to get your pen rather than you bought it off Sharon the hairdresser.

InfoSecInTheCity · 25/01/2025 12:55

It does sound like you are not actually eligible for a prescription but there may be criteria in play that we don't know about. Due to this I won't address the dosing question because, if you are ineligible then the correct dose is none.

What does the rest of your lifestyle look like? MJ works by slowing your digestion, if you're eating greasy, fatty, heavy, unhealthy foods then you're going to have stomach pains even if you reduce.

What does your water intake look like? Are you drinking enough to prevent UTIs?

Dunkou · 25/01/2025 15:22

I was BMI 27 (with high cholesterol) when I started a month ago, and have tipped into BMI 26 now. I'm also short.

I found 2.5 very strong and have dropped to 1.6.

PinkArt · 25/01/2025 15:48

What are you honestly trying to get from these threads @Cataddicted ? You've lied on different threads about what your starting BMI was, none of which were high enough for you to be prescribed legitimately. You therefore must have lied to a prescriber too.
Unsurprisingly the prescription medication you don't fit the criteria for isn't agreeing with you.
What is going on for you? Are you after validation from other users that what you are doing is ok? No-one is going to do that as pretty much everyone here has educated themselves so they are fully informed of the risks the medication presents, so no-one is going to advise you take it at all.

InkHeart2024 · 25/01/2025 15:51

You probably feel like shit because you aren't supposed to be taking this medication. What do you expect people to say?
