My amazing auggies ladies 💖 - another thread and heading for 6mths in !!!

Be proud of us all.

We conquered our first Christmas and many of us sts or lost. Which is a first.

Those who gained it was 1-2lbs (minus the lady who ate her family and gained 18lbs) 😂😂 and the gain has come off

So to a new 2025 - some are getting near their goal and thinking about maintenance

Some still have a way to go to get to their happy weight

Some are on the highest dose of 15

Some are 5 and below

Everyone welcome

Evening. Bit late and also hoping to sleep soon. Might end up doing 12.5 from my 10 @Blondeshavemorefun , will see how the next week goes and I have a couple of pens stashed so could consider it.
@Azuresky68 sane shortness here , also 5ft😅 goal for me is to get to mid healthy bmi and that’s a bit away. SW on mounjaro was 14st 10lbs🫣 CW 10st 12lbs and would like to get to 8st 6lbs but that might be total fantasy, it’s been a few decades since I was even 9 something (I’m almost 55). And melted candle is a kind description of my body now but the obese body didn’t look great either so I’ll just crack on with this saggy and shrinking one🤪
sorry to those feeling a bit rubbish and hope it eases soon. I’ve been lucky so far with no side effects on MJ but I had miserable sick times on wegovy and remember it well😣

I dont have a goal weight as such - somewhere between 11 and 13! Definitely winging it.
SW 17.9
CW 14.6
I log 1100-1200 cals a day - but i don't count/record things like milk/mayonnaise/odd teaspoon of sugar in a hot lemon drink type of thing as I dont want to be obsessive.
At 53 I have found I just can't eat bread/pasta anymore, it bloats me and triggers my IBS. So I have a diet now which is working for a menopausal busy woman on HRT and with Mirena - oh yeah & with arthritis 😆
I have learnt in the last 6mths what i need to do post MJ to maintain and I think i will be following some kind of 5/2 diet or some kind of fasting regime - tbc!!

Oh I hear ya - HRT, Mirena & arthritis over here too🖐- age is a bitch isn't it 😆. I can't decide which symptom is due to what, though my arthritic knees are better since the MJ and not just due to the losses.

Weepixie · 17/01/2025 05:48

Good morning 😊

@FlappingMadly

I’ve just spent half an hour finding out more about the half life after you mentioned it and I hadn’t realised that when we take our scheduled dose there’s still between 50% and 25% of the previous dose still in your system. So I’m thinking that what we have in our system is the dose plus the remains of the previous dose. Is that correct? I previously thought you had nothing left in your system when you took the new dose. But if my thoughts are correct I can see how Ive felt so lousy when I went up to the 10 pen.

PoemsForTea · 17/01/2025 07:32

@Mumontherun 😄 My joints also, really have improved and not due to the weightloss as it worked within a couple weeks but inflammation seems massively reduced

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/01/2025 08:31

@Mum0ntherun also have arthritis in hips ankle and knee. It was the hips that made me think me think seriously I need to lose weight now and being a single mum

@Weepixie yes tech hence when finish it takes a few weeks to get out of body

tho I think it only really the lower dose people who struggle with dose strength it effects the most

by day 6/7 I’m hungry and don’t really feel effects after I’ve jabbed till maybe 3/4

@PoemsForTeaagree mine are a bit better but is that weight or mj

i think mj as sure noticed the diff in aug few weeks later

FlappingMadly · 17/01/2025 08:49

Here too. I was coming down stairs one at a time due I now know to the gift of peri. I had other peri symptoms which disappeared the moment I started MJ - well it seemed instantly. I was worried to start HRT overweight but will definitely start soon.

@Weepixie technically it can take 30 days to leave your body but we are all different- age, metabolism, height etc.

MargoLivebetter · 17/01/2025 09:11

Hurray @Blondeshavemorefun great news!

Weepixie · 17/01/2025 09:17

Congratulations Blondes.

owlyboo · 17/01/2025 09:29

Well done @Blondeshavemorefun! It's strange isn't it! I'm guessing I'll have a STS this week after a mammoth loss last week even though I've eaten exactly the same! Very odd! Good luck at boot camp!

FlappingMadly · 17/01/2025 09:36

Drum roll.please!

I've lost 2kg this week!

owlyboo · 17/01/2025 09:36

Wowzas @FlappingMadly well done!!

MargoLivebetter · 17/01/2025 09:54

Great news @FlappingMadly 👏

FlappingMadly · 17/01/2025 09:58

I'm very pleased. Still got a long way to go and lol at melted candle - I think that's going to be my neck.
It's interesting. This week other than the press ups I do every morning and dog walks I've done very little exercise. Is this whoosh from exercise last week? Think so.

Regarding using pen more than 30 days, long story but I forgot had started a 7.5 pen when travelling so used it last week at well over 30 days and it clearly worked! I nearly pass out at the threads saying they've chucked it all out. 😂

FlappingMadly · 17/01/2025 10:01

Fab @Blondeshavemorefun!! Whoop!
Good luck at boot camp. You will love it!

Weepixie · 17/01/2025 10:04

thats fabulous Flapping!

NippyNinjaCrab · 17/01/2025 10:33

Morning.

@FlappingMadly whoop Flapping, I had to Google 2kg that's bloody fantastic!!

@Blondeshavemorefun Well done Blondes, although you might not see this after your boot camp 😂😂 you'll smash it 💪

@Usernamechangeforthis12 I did it because I'm stupid and thought I was a smart arsed Crustacean. I was intending on using my next 5mg pen properly and so in preparation I jabbed the last of that 4th dose. So... now I'm wondering should I check my approx levels on shotsy and do a 2.5mg then let it fall and do another 2.5mg to keep my levels just at 5 or below? I thought it would boost me to get to goal 😕

Dum dum duuummmmmm... 🥁🥁🥁🥁

I've lost 3lbs this week 🪅🎉🙌

Takes me to 11st 8lbs, that's one pound off 3 stone, it's only taken a year haha.

I had a browse of healthy weights for height, age etc and because I'm 5ft 5.5" (ffs) if I round the height up the upper weight is 11st and rounding down the half inch the upper weight is 10st 10lbs which is what I think would be best for me and allow me to maintain and give me a 4lbs window. So main goal is 11st and then I'll chip away for those 4lbs.

I was saying to DH this morning, right now, I don't feel I'm slim, I don't look in the mirror often to actually look at myself, I still feel fat, I need to start taking some pride in myself!

I'm going to take updated pics later on with the same clothes from my very first Voy pics and I'll post them see what you guys think. Xx

Motnight · 17/01/2025 11:45

And @FlappingMadly!

WorriedRelative · 17/01/2025 11:53

Well done on the losses Blondes, Flapping and Nippy!! Great work!

Thanks to the dulcolax I am back down to 87.8kg, which is over a kilo lower than where I was on Tuesday! Not quite back to the lowest weight recorded this month but I had a day of quite a lot of food yesterday, including a Chinese meal so salty and carby.

Hoping I'm back to losses soon!

Bonus dose Monday. I will try to catch up on everything I missed yesterday in a bit, this thread is moving so fast!

Azuresky68 · 17/01/2025 11:57

Well done on the losses everyone, so pleased for you all! Instead of WWJ it really should be PWJ or SWJ or CWJ..will leave you to work that out 😁😂
