My amazing auggies ladies 💖 - another thread and heading for 6mths in !!!

Be proud of us all.

We conquered our first Christmas and many of us sts or lost. Which is a first.

Those who gained it was 1-2lbs (minus the lady who ate her family and gained 18lbs) 😂😂 and the gain has come off

So to a new 2025 - some are getting near their goal and thinking about maintenance

Some still have a way to go to get to their happy weight

Some are on the highest dose of 15

Some are 5 and below

Everyone welcome

Can I ask if you don’t mind - what your measurements are to get into 16

My hips are currently 42/43". Not sure about waist but I've always been very pear shaped so my stomach is quite flat - I've just got humongous thighs.

poppym12 · 31/01/2025 21:25

Well done @Redlightbulb . I've lost just over 3stone too.

I've nearly finished my first 10mg pen and it seems to be suiting me well but I need to order my next one. I'm not sure whether to stick at 10mg or move up to 12.5 as when I remained on the lower doses for longer, they seemed to stop working so well after I'd used one dose.

owlyboo · 31/01/2025 21:00

Exactly there is no actual size 10, 12, 14, 16 they differ wildly from shop to shop or even within shop! You just have to put on the (much littler girl pants on) and try on @Blondeshavemorefun 😂

I know what you are saying. Thanks

but

I used to be 12. Yes 20yrs ago lol. But I could go into any shop and pick a 12 and knew it would fit

Well done losers and those sts!

And especially well done to those at goal or real close.

I’m not gonna lie, far too much for me to catch up on- it’s been a busy month!

So pleased January is over. It’s always a difficult month for me as we have several birthdays and lots of cake, which is likely why my new year vows never last! I’ve also had a weekend away.

The weight loss has slowed but still moving downwards. I’m going to aim for 9st, with a view to allowing a few over. This means I have 18lbs to go.

And I’m hoping to achieve this by May. I have a holiday booked for July.

Although I can see my bulk has decreased, I still have a large stomach that prevents me from seeing my toes!!

I bought a treadmill and plan to run a mile a day in February. I did manage a couple of days in January but some pesky child keeps stealing the extension lead.

I then plan to do C25K and switch to outdoor running when I’m a bit less likely to collapse on the street! Maybe we can form a little support group for those of us doing C25K?

I went down to 2.5mg last week but upped it to 3.75mg again this week and suppression is high still from jabbing Tuesday.

I think my biggest issue is that I just don’t have the time, or inclination, to cook. I need to menu plan. Does anyone have any links to great places to find quick and easy recipes.

I’ve ordered some new jeans and joggers. Had an embarrassing NSV the other week. I was doing sone bits in the garden, luckily I had my big baggy oodie on as my trousers came right down with all the bending, they are now so large!!

Fab to read your updates, I'm laughing at your near moonie in the garden is love that NSV 😄 I'm still on low dose. Didn't jab for a Friday to let the levels go down and at 2-2.5 in me I was snacky but I did have a major stress at the weekend so I suppose in all honesty it wasn't bad.

@owlyboo I never understand why sizes are so different, even within the same range and style but different colours in an item. Does my head in. Now I'm slimmer it really doesn't bother me as much.

@Redlightbulb we all care, tell us your news! That's a fab loss and you're right in the zone by reading your update. Those pounds will melt off. Slow is good. Xx

@poppym12 so jealous of a flat tummy. Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/01/2025 21:57

@Usernamechangeforthis12 def buy some smaller ones lol and well done for the running

also have a tummy so yes Kwym

@Redlightbulb well done - slow and steady

I would love a tummy tuck and under arm tuck - never gonna happen but can dream

thanks @poppym12 - will check mine when I go to bed as tape measure upstairs

@Blondeshavemorefun and that's kind of my point better to know what the sizing is like now. I think depends what weight you're at. Now I seem to be able to be pick up any 12 and it fits (some more relaxed than others..) but a month or so ago every other 12 fit as some are bigger than others. It's just the way it is now. No size whatever it is is the same. Each shop unfortunately seems to pick what that that size equates to.

Agreed @NippyNinjaCrab it doesn't bother me as much now I'm smaller that they're so bloody buggered up! Black jeans are always smaller!

NippyNinjaCrab · 31/01/2025 22:10

Good luck to the wwj gorgeous slimsters for tomorrow. We are beaching it again tomorrow before the rain on Sunday ruins my happiness 😂

I had to run for a bus today, still traumatised haha. BUT.. I actually didn't feel ill as in needing a defibrillator so that's a big improvement.

A poor fisherman is missing his lobster baskets, the brats had some claws for lunch al fresco 🦞 🦂

@NippyNinjaCrab Linley pics!

I'm WW (not jab)! Tomorrow hoping to at least keep my sneaky weigh in from Wednesday! Weather looks okay ish for next week 🤞🤞

owlyboo · 31/01/2025 22:12

@NippyNinjaCrab lovely pics 🙄

poppym12 · 31/01/2025 22:43

@Blondeshavemorefun, try not to worry about the numbers on the labels. Go and try some new things on, get a better idea of what you look like now. You've lost a lot of weight so maybe try some new styles.

Seriously, the size ranges from shop to shop are totally ridiculous. Even when I was slim (under 10stone for most of my adult life), I varied from a size 8/10 up to a 16 depending on where I shopped.

I get annoyed that I haven't lost loads of weight but I'm lighter than I was 6 months ago and no matter how much weight I lose, I'll never be totally happy with how my body looks as my legs are always going to be bigger than the rest of me. It's my body shape. Fortunately, a smaller version of it now but I can't afford liposuction.

@NippyNinjaCrab, my waist isn't shrinking as much as my hips or chest (menopause I think) but I am glad to be back to a relatively flat stomach.

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/01/2025 23:22

Bad brats @NippyNinjaCrab. I blame the mother 😂😂

did you scuttle along the road 😂

fingets crossed Tom @owlyboo and if stays dry I may shop/wander next week

Waist is 36 and hips 42/43

like you @poppym12

@Blondeshavemorefun sounds like a good plan!

owlyboo · 31/01/2025 23:39

@Blondeshavemorefun no idea what my stats are... I'll try it measure at some point!

4pink1blue · 31/01/2025 23:45

@Blondeshavemorefun i recommend Matalan for jeans. You have to try them on though. I got 3 pairs and they all fit beautifully but they are 3 different sizes!! One of which is a 12!!!! I nearly cried.

Oops had a picture....

Did a sneaky weigh today and 2lb off since my official one on Thursday.

Think my plateau is over - back to weigh ins and not neigh ins 😆 It also makes me under 200lb at last so Whoop Whoop!

Azuresky68 · 01/02/2025 08:38

Fingers crossed for you @owlyboofor your weigh in today. @4pink1blueI agree about sizing by the way. In some magazine I remember there was a feature on this where a person who was a 'standard' size 12 bought the same style of clothing (maybe a skirt) in size 12 from a wide range of shops and the difference was amazing. She couldn't even get into some of them. Also if you are short like me a size 12 fitted me easily when I was 2 stone overweight. I am a size 10 now and if I was at lowest end of my healthy BMI at 6 stone 8 pounds at I would probably be size 6 or wearing children's clothes. I will be happy to get to 9 stone. All I am trying to say clothes sizing isn't very accurate. Primark do nice jeans and are very reasonable. They will probably size small but why not treat yourself @Blondeshavemorefun? Boot cut, flares or even wide legs (sadly wide legs not for me as I am too short) are more flattering than skinny jeans in my opinion.
I weighed today (last official weigh in was last Saturday) It's a pound off..2.5 pounds to my goal now! I was despondent in January with my progress and thought it was very slow but it added up to 4.5 pounds in January so I am very happy with that. I have done very little exercise either for various reasons.
In January I managed to incorporate a more 'normal' lifestyle in that I had a couple of meals out, an evening where I had 4 glasses of wine (that's the only day I drank in January) a chip shop fried fish and last night I went to a curry night at a friend's house. I jabbed 12.5 mg on Thursday and it had kicked in by Friday. Having tried three small portions of delicious home made curries, a bit of rice, a tiny bit of naan bread, 1 samosa and a tiny veg pakora I felt very full. I had no problem skipping chocolate cake and fruit salad. I had saved up my calories all day and had 2 eggs and 1 slice of toast for breakfast. Actually thought I would weigh in heavy today, especially as I usually weigh after a💩 but couldn't wait any longer to get on the damn scales!

SilverSprings510 · 01/02/2025 08:44

Weighed this morning and -3lb so I’m very happy with that! Total now -4st 11lb/-67lbs/-30.4kg. Finally under 200lbs! Will jab this evening as out for lunch today.

Weigh ins: -7, -5, -3, -2, -5, -5, -1, -3, -1, -4, -1, -4, -2, -5, -0, -2, -1, -2, -3, -2, -1, -3, -1, -3✨

@Usernamechangeforthis12 I’m going into week5 of couch to 5k and finding it okay!

PoemsForTea · 01/02/2025 08:45

@azuresky It's brilliant and really encouraging that you have been doing some every day stuff and nice things and still lost a really healthy amount - thankyou for sharing your experience

Azuresky68 · 01/02/2025 09:02

Wow and very well done for all the fab losses and STS. Not sure if anyone gained but stick with us as it will only be a blip. Hugs and huge congrats to the Amazing August MJ's 👏 🤩
This thread has been my lifeline. Have a great weekend xxx

AuntieDote · 01/02/2025 10:21

Well done everyone for the losses and well earned STSs.

I’ve weighed this morning and 1lb off, but still 2lbs up on my lowest when I stopped the MJ in Dec. I’m getting a bit disheartened to be honest, perhaps naive to think that getting what I gained over the time I wasn’t jabbing would be the work of a week or two once I was back on it. In reality it’s proving impossible - let alone the extra stone/ stone and a half I’d like to lose for target.

I’ve worked hard this week, well under 1200 calories each day, intermittent fasting and did 4 gym classes plus YouTube workout sessions in between. Just got to keep going and trust the process!

Was a bit sick last night, not sure what it was - but nothing like previous episodes so still feel like the side effects are relatively manageable whilst I’m on the low dose, but sadly the positive effects aren’t as noticeable either!

owlyboo · 01/02/2025 10:29

Well done @PoemsForTea !

Well done @Azuresky68 nice to be losing and enjoying some treats.

Well done @SilverSprings510 ☺️

Well done on the loss @AuntieDote, sorry it's taking a while for the weight gain to go. 🤞 all your hard work pays off soon.

Weigh day! So after my sneaky weigh in on Wednesday I've lost another 2lbs so officially a 4lb loss this week! Wasn't expecting that! 68 pound loss overall, being 2lbs off a 5 stone loss seems insane!! I've had to find the next part of my weight loss table to fill in 😂 oh and it also means I'm in a new stone bracket... the 10s 🤪 haven't seen them for many many years!

@4pink1blue sadly not a matalan anywhere near me but well done for a 12 but weird same shop was 3 diff sizes and lengths

i know I’m not a 12 but sure def am a 16 as 18 are literally falling down my large hips

@PoemsForTeatah. For 2lb loss

@Azuresky68 I R.E.M. an article like that. There was also another one with think 8 ladies , tall short and looked diff sizes all in black leggings and tops. But all were size 14

could you imagine yourself 6s. That sounds insane to me. An adult being 6s and healthy

tho disagree about flares /boot being more flattering - not on tree trunk thighs like I have

or even on Slim people imo lol

my size 12 friend wore a pair the other day and I thought made her bum legs look huge at top as snug but then by ankle all baggy

but we are all different

yah for lb off - looking at things monthly /per pen is sometimes a better way

we’ll done @SilverSprings510

@AuntieDotegreat yiu had a loss esp not in mj

sorry a little sick last night

Hi everyone! How are you? I’m sorry, I’ve not caught up in the thread because I’m feeling rather under the weather.

A few weeks ago now I went up to 10 and there followed a very unpleasant two weeks where I felt like death warmed up. I then went down to 7.5, then 8 then on Thursday I went up to 9. As usual I felt ok for 36 hours but yesterday afternoon I started to feel of colour and today I’ve been poleaxed by exhaustion, a bit of tummy trouble and the most awful acid reflux thats had me being unwell a few times. Can anyone advise on anything I can do to deal with this pls? I’ve taken the omeprazole and I’m lucky I can sleep when I want to but I’m concerned I’ll never be able to take a 9 again let alone go up to 10 - I feel my weight loss has been slow enough despite everything I’m putting into it

And I felt so yucky today I had to miss going to see my daughter at a conference she was speaking at and if I feel like this tomorrow I’m dreading having to miss day 2 when both of my incredible girls are speaking at it. Of course They’d be ok with me not going if I’m not well but I really want to hear them and see them in action.

Any advice please?
