My amazing auggies ladies 💖 - another thread and heading for 6mths in !!!

Be proud of us all.

We conquered our first Christmas and many of us sts or lost. Which is a first.

Those who gained it was 1-2lbs (minus the lady who ate her family and gained 18lbs) 😂😂 and the gain has come off

So to a new 2025 - some are getting near their goal and thinking about maintenance

Some still have a way to go to get to their happy weight

Some are on the highest dose of 15

Some are 5 and below

Everyone welcome

@NippyNinjaCrab hope you have a healthy poo baby soon!

Well done on the losses @Blondeshavemorefun those 16s must be in sight soon, if they're on old 16 they might be a particularly small size because of new vanity sizing get trying on a new pair! @4pink1blue (also on the NSV) @weaselyeyes

Sts the same is still good well done @FlappingMadly glad you're shrinking 😊

Weigh day for me tomorrow, hopefully I'll have maintained my sneaky weigh in from Wednesday or that'll teach me for weighing early! Went for a walk and did some shopping with mum. Got some more jeans, not sure when buying 12s will get boring! Some were even a bit big! I have brought some lovely stuff from vinted as well in 10s and 12s... still super surreal when they fit with ease 😳

PoemsForTea · 31/01/2025 18:29

I'm so very sad 😆 I had a text from GP Surgery earlier saying 'Please fill in this questionnaire to update your medical records'. I was stupidly excited and thought, ooh theyve read the letters about MJ and im gonna get to put my new weight in and feel bloody great 😆 (needy compliant twat that I am!)
All it asked was if I still smoked and how much did I used to smoke ffs 😆
Ps for smokers that are interested, I gave up with 1 x 1hr Hypnosis sesh, 3 yrs ago!

owlyboo · 31/01/2025 18:31

@PoemsForTea reply with I gave up three years ago and PS I'm skinny now 😂

@Blondeshavemorefun I mean a 16 from say 10 years ago is probably a lot smaller than a 16 now as sizes have got a lot bigger because shops cater to 'vanity sizing' making sizes bigger than they used to be to flatter people to want to shop in their shops. Eg a 16 in say Marks and Sparks would be a lot more roomy than a Zara 16 which caters to a younger (and usually smaller audience) it's not an exact science but it's widely accepted. So I would go and try on in store as I'm sure you will be at least at 16.

owlyboo · 31/01/2025 19:25

Therefore in the same way the 18's you've recently bought are probably not far off the 16 from years ago if that makes sense!

owlyboo · 31/01/2025 19:28

Sorry I meant way bigger not not far off... @Blondeshavemorefun I've had a glass of wine 😂😂

NippyNinjaCrab · 31/01/2025 19:29

@PoemsForTea just add another section to the form 😂😂😂

Tho if smaller and it did fit when I was a 16

surely it’s bad nkw it doesn’t

i prob squeezed my 20 arse into them and stretched them

I can confirm that a pair of size 16 jeans purchased around 3 weeks ago fit me perfectly. A size 16 from before I got really big is actually a bit snug at the moment. I'm talking about jeans from around 6 or 7 years ago.

Get some new jeans @Blondeshavemorefun. I'm binning all of my old ones as my style has changed anyway.

owlyboo · 31/01/2025 20:07

@Blondeshavemorefun I suppose what I mean is if the 16 is really old but your 18s are newer they're probably a lot bigger than an 18 when you brought your 16 so probably why it's taking longer to reach the 16 as it's a 'small' 16. Trying on some newer 16s might give you the boost you need to see that your sizing has changed significantly 🤞

owlyboo · 31/01/2025 20:09

Oh sorry @Blondeshavemorefun missed your message that they're the same age!

Well still worth a try with a range of 16s 🤞

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/01/2025 20:29

So just means the new sizes are bigger so I’m not a proper 16 if buying larger sizes imo

sorry. Not being obtrusive

Can I ask if you don’t mind - what your measurements are to get into 16

Well done losers and those sts!

And especially well done to those at goal or real close.

I’m not gonna lie, far too much for me to catch up on- it’s been a busy month!

So pleased January is over. It’s always a difficult month for me as we have several birthdays and lots of cake, which is likely why my new year vows never last! I’ve also had a weekend away.

The weight loss has slowed but still moving downwards. I’m going to aim for 9st, with a view to allowing a few over. This means I have 18lbs to go.

And I’m hoping to achieve this by May. I have a holiday booked for July.

Although I can see my bulk has decreased, I still have a large stomach that prevents me from seeing my toes!!

I bought a treadmill and plan to run a mile a day in February. I did manage a couple of days in January but some pesky child keeps stealing the extension lead.

I then plan to do C25K and switch to outdoor running when I’m a bit less likely to collapse on the street! Maybe we can form a little support group for those of us doing C25K?

I went down to 2.5mg last week but upped it to 3.75mg again this week and suppression is high still from jabbing Tuesday.

I think my biggest issue is that I just don’t have the time, or inclination, to cook. I need to menu plan. Does anyone have any links to great places to find quick and easy recipes.

I’ve ordered some new jeans and joggers. Had an embarrassing NSV the other week. I was doing sone bits in the garden, luckily I had my big baggy oodie on as my trousers came right down with all the bending, they are now so large!!

owlyboo · 31/01/2025 20:36

But as sizing has changed slightly you maybe different as you'll be buying all new clothes soon so might be best to start a fresh. Plus those could just be a particularly tiny size 16... but keeping them as a goal is still great! Whatever feels best for you. If you want to wait until you fit into them then that's also okay. Whatever feels best for you ☺️

PoemsForTea · 31/01/2025 20:44

I have 3 pairs of size 16 jeans. 2 x M&S - same style. 1 is tight and 1 is perfect. 1 pair of Tesco F&F which are perfect if not a smidge too big

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/01/2025 20:51

See @PoemsForTea. All sizes should be the same

Exactly there is no actual size 10, 12, 14, 16 they differ wildly from shop to shop or even within shop! You just have to put on the (much littler girl pants on) and try on @Blondeshavemorefun 😂

Redlightbulb · 31/01/2025 21:05

Quick update for any that care.
I have now lost 3 stone in nearly 6 months with about 5-6 stone to go.
Not super fast weight loss but I am 100% confident that I will get to goal as I don't feel deprived at all. It just might take another 10 months or so.
Good suppression on 10mg and will be on it for another month.
So that's 3 months so far on 10.
Getting a bit flabby so should start doing some weights.
I might just get a tummy tuck when I get to goal if I feel that I can maintain on MJ. It will be the first time maintaining in my life!

owlyboo · 31/01/2025 21:07

@Redlightbulb we all care! Well done you! Three stone is amazing and it's so fantastic you feel so content in losing the next 5/6 stone. Can't wait to hear your next updates. Well done again! Flowers
