My amazing auggies ladies 💖 - another thread and heading for 6mths in !!!

Be proud of us all.

We conquered our first Christmas and many of us sts or lost. Which is a first.

Those who gained it was 1-2lbs (minus the lady who ate her family and gained 18lbs) 😂😂 and the gain has come off

So to a new 2025 - some are getting near their goal and thinking about maintenance

Some still have a way to go to get to their happy weight

Some are on the highest dose of 15

Some are 5 and below

Everyone welcome

Sounds like you've met your MJ match @Blondeshavemorefun ! Hope you feel better soon, it sounds tough. Hopefully it will start wearing off tomorrow a bit.

AuntieDote · 28/01/2025 20:02

Only catching up on last couple of pages, this thread moving as fast as ever I see!

I’ve not weighed nor have I jabbed yet this week. Had a slightly indulgent weekend with a few drinks and meal out, but back under 1200 calories yesterday and today and been upping my exercise. I FEEL fat though, and just catching sight of myself in the full length mirrors at gym class tonight and I still have such a belly, it’s really quite depressed me. Oh well, onwards and all that! (Also - I say gym class but tonight was the gentle balance/ stretch/ tone one which ended with a lovely 10 minute guided relaxation and so doubt it’s done much to increase my calorie burn - was very nice though!)

@Azuresky68 very brave and thanks for trusting us with your pictures. You look lovely in all of them but what a transformation!

@Blondeshavemorefun sorry you’ve been suffering with it, hope it’s better tomorrow.

@morbidcuriosity well done on the NSV - buying smaller sizes feels good doesn’t it!

I’ll probably jab another 2.5 tomorrow, been debating upping it a smidge as obviously it’s not having all that much affect in terms of suppression/ food noise having experienced the bigger doses. However I’m so scared of getting the evil side effects back so I’m not sure. See how I feel tomorrow.

We’re just starting the process of selling our house - we really need more space as our current house is tiny. However after being the one morning for years that we need to move, I’m suddenly feeling a bit conflicted about it all - I absolutely love our street and our neighbours - plus anxious about how stressful it’s all going to be (DH is a wonderful man but he is not a particularly calm one, and I’m already slightly dreading it to be honest - having to be the calm one for both of us and sort of manage his flapping). Determined not to turn to food to eat any difficult feelings though, as I would undoubtedly do in the past.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2025 21:41

Yep @weaselyeyes I have. And don’t like it lol 🥲

always seem to have sone slight suppression day 3/4 and usually it’s not a lot but obv varies

but today I have def got it

I’ve drank water and sipped a cuppa soup but feel shit and will go to bed early tonight and hope I will feel better Tom

I’m tired but not, as slept for 4hrs earlier

don’t think having a period is helping me either

qnd tmi I’ve had 4 poos 💩💩💩💩 today

feeling quite sorry for myself

@AuntieDote Stress and food are the killers, aren't they? I always turn to food for comfort. I got a job rejection today, and I was so down (been job hunting for a year), so I went and got a Tunnocks tea cake out of the pantry 😮- I felt bad for one second & then ate it. 😈But you know what, I only had one. Before MJ, I would have eaten the whole box of treats, let alone one!! And I still don't feel bad; in fact, I'm impressed with my restraint, and you will be too. Have a little something occasionally (within your calorie intake) - it's okay because we now have the tools to walk away and decide not to drown ourselves in chocolate, etc! You will be fine and good luck with the teensy increases - you'll find your level, and those arses that rejected me - stuff 'em, their loss!

@Blondeshavemorefun sorry you're feeling so crappy and I totally get feeling sorry for yourself - feeling this bad and rubbish weather 🤒yuck! Get some sleep and feel better soon.

Love everybody's pictures too - we are all doing so well. It's easy to get dejected, but look where we all were this time last year! I know I sound like a cheerleader, but it's easy not to feel it at the moment! Ladies you are all doing AMAZINGLY!!!

owlyboo · 28/01/2025 22:00

@Mum0ntherun sorry you had a rejection today. Hope something brilliant comes along soon!

BigSilly · 29/01/2025 00:05

I regret having ordered a 3rd month on 10.Last week the suppression was not great but on the other hand, absolutely no side effects. I don't keep my pen in the fridge and have wondered before whether the efficacy tails off towards the end of the month.

NippyNinjaCrab · 29/01/2025 08:01

Morning, catching up after the stormy weekend. We've had a huge drama here on Sunday too, police involved, which resulted in some emotional food consumption Monday night urgh. It wasnt too bad exactly but the intent was there so it's something I still need to work on. Jabbed another 2.5mg yesterday to top up Fridays 2.5mg. Stomach is still churning with stress so I'm off for a long walk today with the brats.

Everyone looks amazing and I've missed so much ffs, you all blether a lot, love it 😀

@Blondeshavemorefun how are you feeling? You 15mg lightweight haha, aw bless its horrible, let some come out of your system before jabbing again.

Hugs to all I'd be here a long time scrolling to mention everyone but I've read all your updates 🥰🥰🥰

I need to try and get back focused again, right now I just want to hibernate and not face the outside xx

WorriedRelative · 29/01/2025 08:38

Tentatively think the plateau is broken! I have another new low. Half a kilo down on Monday! 🤞🤞it continues.

Also NSV tried on my outfit for a themed party. Size 16 and it fitted, looked pretty good too! Might have to dislocate a shoulder to go to the loo though, why they didn't put a zip or button or something in I don't know!!!

AuntieDote · 29/01/2025 08:52

@Mum0ntherun sorry about the rejection, job hunting is the worst! Well done keeping it to one tunnocks teacake! Not sure I’d ever manage that, MJ or not!

@NippyNinjaCrab sorry to hear you’ve had a stressful time of it. Hope whatever it is is resolved now lovely.

I’m really fed up this morning (typed a rather stronger descriptor there but changed my mind). I seem to have put on 2.5 lbs. Now I know I said I’d had a slightly indulgent weekend, but by that I’d meant 2 glasses of wine and a bowl of pasta (which I didn’t finish!) I’ve been a positive angel since then, and was way way way in a deficit for the entire week before so I wasn’t really expecting that. I definitely knew my tummy looked and felt ‘big’ again though. Carbs havent really made much difference either way to me so far, but maybe it’s time to rethink that. I’m quite bunged up again also.

So I need to inject today. Still using up my 7.5 pen I got before I stopped in Dec (was unopened at that point) - been doing 2.5 but might go for a 3.75 this week to try and give me a bit of a kickstart because I’m still up from where I was in Dec (more so now!) and feeling quite disheartened with it all. The devil on my shoulder is telling me just do it and suck up the side effects at least you’ll lose weight, but then I know I’ll probably be back on here by Friday crying about my D&V and how bad it is! So maybe I’ll just be sensible and keep going.

I’ve got a weights session at the gym Thursday - will see what that’s like. I’ve been sticking to the yoga/ Pilates type classes up to now but I have wanted to get back into using weights for a while now - maybe 8/9 years ago I was doing a lot with a PT but true to my all or nothing form, once I’d missed a couple of sessions I just dropped it all altogether!

poppym12 · 29/01/2025 09:18

Sorry to hear about the stress @NippyNinjaCrab. Hopefully it's resolved now.

Hope you're feeling better today @Blondeshavemorefun.

I ate a big meal last night - very healthy and low calorie but I cooked way too much and it wasn't suitable for reheating as leftovers. I did leave some but still ate too much as it was high in protein (vegetarian so I struggle to get enough protein via food that I like). I feel very bloated today - won't be doing that again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/01/2025 09:26

Hi. Feeling a smidge better as often do on day 6. Usually hungry day 7 thur so fingers crossed for Tom I may eat

I do not like feeling this way 🥲🥲🥲

15 has beaten me - who would have thought it

still don’t want to eat but I am drinking water and will have a protein shake later to get some cals in

if you ‘weaklings’ 😛😘 on 5 and under feel like this on 5 - Christ know how you would be on 15

its a really weird feeling for me

I will jab my new 12.5 pen Fri and see how I go

it’s so hard to know what to order in 2/3w time as don’t want to feel like this again as awful - but equally I know when I do double month on a same strength by the end I’m wishing I did go up

wish I could go back to bed but have knee top cheese surgeon app to go to and dd has friend round after school so hopefully I can just stagger to pick up then snuggle on sofa while they play /watch rv

bad mummy

will go for a read and catch up

Princessandthepie · 29/01/2025 09:47

Weigh and jab day for me.

12 stones and 5lbs so 1lb off from last week so that's good.

3 stones and 3lbs off in total.

Weight loss has definitely slowed down but I think Xmas is the blip so I'm not too worried at the moment as it's still going down.
Plus I don't ever remember being this low in weight so it's not going to shift that easy is it? So accepting that fact makes this easier to deal with, I'm at the stubborn stage, so im just accepting it rather than feeling deflated and like throwing in the towel like I would have done before. You guys know what I mean!

Happy Wednesday peeps, I hope you're all doing OK x

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/01/2025 10:00

working my way down the page

flex’s fingers for a marathon reply fest 😂😂

@doingitthistime hope your 44p served you well. Def didn’t have that problem yesterday lol

@morbidcuriosity and @owlyboo so weird how our bodies react to mj and periods - esp if on contraception

@SilverSprings510soery to hear of gas - what ready meal did you have ? I do buy a couple a week for when cba to cook so always on the look out for. A low cal one. I do like the coop braised steak and mash. Think it’s 327c and yummy filling and high in protein. I buy 2 for £6

@AuntieDotesorry to hear mirrors at gym not flattering - sure you looked fab but glad enjoyed the class

I get your reluctance after the last few days of mine on 15 - what evil side effects do you usually have ?

but do weigh yourself - sure you will be surprised

good luck with selling house

@Mum0ntherun sorry about job rejection 💐 a year is a long time bless you. What do you do ? But we’ll done for one tea cake. We need treats and one is fine. Even one a day is fine - so def don’t feel bad - if it’s in the cals ……

@BigSillyexcatlty what I wrote above. Hard to know what to order but never done 3mths on same. I usually go up each month but did double 10 and at end of 10w as used bonus I wish think around week 7/8 that I had gone higher. So my advise is yes order 12.5

i do keep my pen in the fridge so don’t know if makes a diff or not - they say no. Wed once open as long as under 30 I think. Well it’s 3/4 here 😂

the one pen that came and was melted and hot weekend so I got a replacement and that was the found under the Carrots - I feel didn’t have the potency so there is def something about the heat imo

@NippyNinjaCrabpolice doesn’t sound good. Hope you and pups are ok. Here if you want to chat. It not being nosey (well a little lol) but ykwim 😘

a little bad food isn’t the end of the works if having a bad time /emotional stress - we all have intent

I do. I still want and eat crisps. And malteasers or a skinny mint whip bar

I still think half jabs isn’t the way to go and you should just do a 5 for the week instead of micro dosing

enjoy walk with knob head and co 😂

@WorriedRelativeyah for plateaux and another lb off. Well done for size 16. I can only dream. Still can’t get into 16 jeans ffs

you need VFF

aka velcrose Fanny flaps 😂😂😂

@AuntieDoteyou should have left the stronger reply - we are a classy bunch us auggies and love a swear.

or least I do

I’ve had a few Fucks in my time the last few months - none real though 🙀🙀😂😂

sadly

@AuntieDotesorry for the gain 💐 well done for braving weighing - I do think it’s good to every week regardless if had a bad day

I do have carbs every day. Whether rice bread potato or pasta

what I have found /reliese is how little pasta you get for 100g cooked which is around 170c make depending

I don’t actually need more and I’m fine with that amount with say pesto - chicken - mince etx

but when I weighed out what I was eating on sw my portion of pasta was like 600c 🙀🙀 that’s without anything added to it

same with a jacket. Think around 300c so I usually have half of one now

get on sw I wouid have a big one and tin of tuna with peppers onion sweetcorn and cheese

no wonder weight loss was slow but was ‘free’ on sw

anyway what I am trying to say - prob not very well lol - is that fine to eat carbs as body needs them, but just to weigh them or check how much

100g is fine for a portion

def try higher then 2.5 as they do say it’s a starting dose and not much is meant to get lost on it - but obv works for sone

I say it often but nice /weird how us auggies are so different in our strengths and side effects

@poppym12 why could you not reheat it ? What was it ?

@Princessandthepie well done for loss

Morning.. checking in to say well done on resisting emotional eating or even just recognising that you are doing it and then not eating the whole lot. My reason for gaining over last 5 years was all to do with going on holiday, socialising and drinking pints! It was such fun meeting my fella and being taken out for meals and drinks then going on holiday. Now I need to enjoy the same lifestyle without the pints and without seeing eating out as a big treat and eating as if it's never going to happen again.
@BlondeshavemorefunI hope you feel better soon and hope the appointment is useful. Could you order another 15mg if the same price as 12 5 then use it for 12.5 mg but have the option to go up in a few weeks. From what you said you jumped up too quickly?
Maintenance I had my second consultation with Hira from Oushk which was really helpful. I am on 12.5 mg but it's a bit too strong. After finishing this pen I am hoping to be at my goal. My next pen will be 10 mg and I will go down 2.5 mg at a time..that's the plan for now. It's 5 weeks to my big Argentina trip..wonder if I can lose the pesky 4 pounds to get to goal before I leave?
All the best everyone..remember a gain, STS is still a win when you look at where you are now compared to August 2024 💐🌸💐

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/01/2025 10:31

I could @Azuresky68 as yes they are the same price but I do like tk jusg twist to 1 and jab. I’m not good at counting clicks so would have to syringe it out each time. Which isn’t the end of the world but ……

12 would be 48 clicks or .48 which is also hard to measure and I would prob end up being .5

Hello to anyone else and thank you all for well wishes x

Hello to you too! I hope you get through today OK and manage to rest this afternoon. Great advice about carbs and calories related to SW..totally agree. I could never lose the last stone on SW because no portion control with all those 'free foods' Must go as I am going to work...my occaisional casual job at the theatre which is great fun. I am also helping DD1 with house move and DD2 with wedding planning...both really exciting things and am glad to help them 😀

Mum0ntherun · 29/01/2025 11:14

@Blondeshavemorefun I work in Public Relations - which is taking a beating at the moment across lots of industries. It doesn't help that I am senior in my role, and there are few senior roles out there - I've been told I'm too senior a few times (read that as too expensive!! I was also told by one that I was too exotic 😳 - Note to self: do not wear fruit in your hair 💃and do not take flamingos to interviews 😁- I think he actually meant I had a broad background, and they were only focused on one area, but who knows! It's a crappy time to be looking for a job!

poppym12 · 29/01/2025 11:50

It was mushrooms, rice, Quorn pieces, avocado and vegan kimchi.

I'd used microwave rice (lazy) so wouldn't want to reheat that - nor the mushrooms.

weaselyeyes · 29/01/2025 12:14

Commiserations @Mum0ntherun - would you take a less senior role at this point or would it be too damaging in your field for the CV? Having said that, it's maddening when you're prepared to take a less senior role (i.e. less well paid) role and they still assume you'd be too 'experienced' in it!

Sorry things sound tough @NippyNinjaCrab. And congrats on the restraint with only one teacake! I agree it's not something to feel bad about, but what I know only too well as an emotional eater is that it doesn't work. You have that brilliant few seconds where you give in to the urge and it's tasty and then you feel a bit crap about yourself and everything is the same except you ate a teacake! I also think it's not just calories, but that what those calories consist of matters. So if you ate a teacake it would be about the same calories as 18 almonds, but the almonds would be much better for you, give you fibre and nutrients, have more protein and keep your blood sugar stable, which helps regulate emotion. Of course, all of us would tend to go for the teacake in a moment of emotional stress! But that's what food manufacturers want us to do.

What I've been trying to do - and sometimes it even works! - is when I give into the teacake (or impulsive off-plan food stuff of choice), just ask myself if it really made a difference. Most of the time I realise I actually feel worse for eating it, but every now and then I feel it was a suitably celebratory teacake and I feel fine! So I'm trying to plan in some cheerful emotional eating and cut out the sad emotional eating. I still couldn't easily keep a teacake in the house without eating it, whatever my mood, but I can stop buying them more. And when it gets too much, I just imagine myself sticking the almonds up my nose instead, for light relief.

Mum0ntherun · 29/01/2025 12:25

@weaselyeyes yep - I have tried going for jobs way below my experience level (just to be able to work and often at between 30-50% less £), but the trouble is that I would need to wipe chunks off my CV to align it. It's tough to be told by recruiters that it is not me, it is the market, and it will get better, but when? It's hard to stay positive too, and when I feel like yesterday, I usually turn to food for comfort. Trying really hard not to, as I know ultimately it makes me feel worse and I have just worked too hard at this to slip back in!

weaselyeyes · 29/01/2025 12:36

That's so frustrating @Mum0ntherun. If you're prepared to take a lower salary, might it be worth going for a more junior job in a very different non-PR field? That way you'd have transferable skills but not be too experienced, and you could always apply back in PR if a senior role came along.

Mum0ntherun · 29/01/2025 12:39

I have always been in PR - don't know what else I would do TBH, and financially, I need a certain level to stay afloat. I'm topping things up with some freelance work, which I hate doing but needs must. Only Fans and feet pics is the next step 😁😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/01/2025 14:06

@Azuresky68 honestly it’s insane. An average day on sw i was eating 2500/3000 c a day

sounds a lovely day. Enjoy

@Mum0ntherun and yes the too experienced/too expensive but even if happy to take a lower wage it’s a no

did you take a flamingo 😂

hope something comes up soon

@poppym12 I don’t do mushrooms. Aka slime but understand not wanting to microwave avocado but I would reheat rice again

So it's not my official weigh day but I'm recording it as I've officially hit my target (my original target anyway as now I want to lose a little more!)

I was hoping to hit it by the end of February so hit it a month earlier than expected!!

I'm officially a 'normal' BMI! (Just 🤣) 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Have lost 66 pounds now... which seems just insane!
