My amazing auggies ladies 💖 - another thread and heading for 6mths in !!!

Be proud of us all.

We conquered our first Christmas and many of us sts or lost. Which is a first.

Those who gained it was 1-2lbs (minus the lady who ate her family and gained 18lbs) 😂😂 and the gain has come off

So to a new 2025 - some are getting near their goal and thinking about maintenance

Some still have a way to go to get to their happy weight

Some are on the highest dose of 15

Some are 5 and below

Everyone welcome

Spent the afternoon in town with hubby and had a couple of NSVs. First I went to m&s to buy real bras! I've been so fat i couldn't get bras to fit (46 inch back measurement) well I'm now a 36DD!! I can buy bras anywhere! No more unsupportive crop tops. My boobs are where they should be finally 😂. Also don't think I'll ever get over the joy of picking up a medium instead of a 2XL. Although I still think they will never fit 😂. l also bought jeans in a 16 which are loose. I can't believe how different things are in 6 months.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/01/2025 19:16

Phone says grrrr 😛😛😛

Well done @FlappingMadly and great NSV @4pink1blue

i can’t work my bra size out. Did the measuring and said I was a 34e I think or 36e

Ordered both and boob over fill so not that size

Hey hope everyone is okay, we've had to move to MIL old flat just 3 miles away because the power has been out and no heating and then we've had no mobile coverage which was odd so maybe a wee mast blew down. The signal isn't good here, no broadband either ffs. Anyway we are safe and warm and the dogs are enjoying the adventure.

There have been a lot of trees down and roofs off in Ayrshire, trees on cars, there was a man killed with falling roof tiles. The road in the village was blocked by a tree for a while but it didn't take long to get it off the road.

I've jabbed 2.5mg just now, so that will take me to 3ish I think. I'll see if I can add it to the app if the signal let's me

Xx

morbidcuriosity · 24/01/2025 20:23

Haha, the bra shopping game.. I've had 3 different ones from asda all sent back, I've got 3 more to pick up Monday.. no idea on size or style any more..
I'm going for cheaper in asda as still losing weight so don't want to spend big bucks yet..

Azuresky68 · 24/01/2025 20:37

@morbidcuriosityhave you checked out bra sizing guides..nightmare getting the right bra size. M&S surprisingly have some reasonably priced bras and a fitting service. Good luck

Azuresky68 · 24/01/2025 20:41

@4pink1blue great news on the bra front. I seem to remember someone telling me a good fitting bra makes you look half a stone lighter..needless to say I have always made sure I bought great fitting bras after that.
Hope you sort out your Bras @Blondeshavemorefun

AuntieDote · 24/01/2025 20:53

Wow, amazing pics @Blondeshavemorefun and @4pink1blue - incredible difference we’ll done

Stay safe @NippyNinjaCrab

Ive been absolutely ravenous today - 3 full meals and I’ve just eaten 2 scotch pancakes which I wish DH hadn’t bought and I really didn’t need. Safe to say no suppression today.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings!

Azuresky68 · 24/01/2025 21:07

Great news on the losses everyone! Photos are really good too.
@Blondeshavemorefun. You really can see the difference..be proud of your determination please 🙏

When I started on MJ my BMI was just over 30 and my doctor warned me of risk of heart attack due to family history. It was the doctor who suggested Mounjaro and I had never heard of it before. So glad she told me about it though. Under 5 foot now so 2 stone really shows. In the past I went up to 14 stone..no photos exist from back then!
Update on suppression:
23rd January Bonus dose from 10 mg pen I didn't top it to 12 5 as planned.
Suppression was still high before jab. Today after jab yesteday suppression is off the scale! Forced myself to eat 600 calories. I think my brain was telling me not to eat too much today to make up for around 1500 calories yesterday 🙃 Many years ago I read that is how slim people's brain works without having to think about it.
Keep on going everyone and hope you get what are looking for Blondes 🍆 A calorie free treat 🤣🤣🤣

Motnight · 24/01/2025 21:32

@Blondeshavemorefun are you near a. Bravissimo? Best bra fittings I have ever had! Definitely worth a visit if you are near a shop.

poppym12 · 24/01/2025 21:35

I've been reading some stuff about Mounjaro results today and I've made myself properly fed up!

Apparently, it's expected that 20% of body weight can be lost whilst taking Mounjaro.

I need to lose more than 20% of my starting weight to be anywhere near a normal BMI.

Say if it doesn't work? Or am I overthinking?

I began on Aug 11 and have lost 20kg. I'm currently half way through my first 10mg pen.

Sadly not

Over thinking @poppym12. At 6s to lose I’m way over the 20%

OP posts:
SilverSprings510 · 24/01/2025 21:58

If I lost 2lb a week I’d still have 32 weeks on MJ to meet goal. As it goes, I’m probably going to stop in April/May so can TTC in the summer, so will just see how I get on til then. As a short arse, I may still be bmi 30+ after having another baby, so would def consider going back on if that’s the case.

4pink1blue · 24/01/2025 22:18

@poppym12 I started needing to lose near to 50% of my body weight but I'm currently at 1kg away from losing 30% since August. I probably won't go to 50% but around 45% seems to be a good target for me so it's definitely doable. I've broken it down into 5% chunks because 50% just seemed too much and I didn't want to fail.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/01/2025 22:32

Wow @4pink1blue. Really 50%

silly q but how do you work out the % of what you went to lose and how much I’ve lost so far. Thanks

@SilverSprings510as sing baby dust for as and when

OP posts:
4pink1blue · 24/01/2025 23:04

@Blondeshavemorefun it was easier for me to work it out in kg. I actually weigh in kg and convert it to lbs. I started at 120kg so 10% was 12kg, 5% is 6kg. I've lost 35 kg so almost 36 which is 30%. Not sure how easy it is to work out in lbs or stones.

poppym12 · 24/01/2025 23:24

Thanks @4pink1blue , that's very encouraging. You have done amazingly well.

I'm not sure I trust the 20% figure. It's not a scientific study but if you look back through the boards here, so many people before us have lost more than that, but the information on MJ doesn't really discuss that. I think perhaps because that's not what they were looking for?

I'm at 19% now and not planning on stopping any time soon!!

Timetochange24 · 25/01/2025 07:49

@Blondeshavemorefun remind me of your starting weight, current and target and I'll work it out for you.

morbidcuriosity · 25/01/2025 07:51

@Blondeshavemorefun if you Google it, there is a website you can put your before weight and now weight and it will tell you..
