My amazing auggies ladies 💖 - another thread and heading for 6mths in !!!

Be proud of us all.

We conquered our first Christmas and many of us sts or lost. Which is a first.

Those who gained it was 1-2lbs (minus the lady who ate her family and gained 18lbs) 😂😂 and the gain has come off

So to a new 2025 - some are getting near their goal and thinking about maintenance

Some still have a way to go to get to their happy weight

Some are on the highest dose of 15

Some are 5 and below

Everyone welcome

I've just worked out my % loss.. 24.6% .
Just googled weight loss percentage .

PoemsForTea · 25/01/2025 08:49

To work it out -
Lbs Lost ÷ lbs starting weight X 100
So mine is 45÷247 X 100 = 18.2%

Azuresky68 · 25/01/2025 08:57

Good morning all. Reading the posts about % Mine is 16% When I reach my goal (9 stone) and BMI 25.4 (overweight) it will go up to 18%. If I went down to top of healthy BMI at 24.8 (8 stone 11 pounds) it would be 20%. I don't plan on going to under 9 stone though as I would look like a wizened stick!
Realistically statistics are just a guide aren't they or they can be twisted for persuasive reasons!
There's a famous quote: "Lies, damned lies and statistics"
I don't really take too much notice of BMI and % loss figures to be honest

SilverSprings510 · 25/01/2025 09:08

Weighed today and am -1lb so that takes me to -4st8/-64lb/-29kg. Happy with a pound as had a meal/drinks out last week.

Weigh ins: -7, -5, -3, -2, -5, -5, -1, -3, -1, -4, -1, -4, -2, -5, -0, -2, -1, -2, -3, -2, -1, -3, -1 ✨

Azuresky68 · 25/01/2025 09:10

Good luck approaching the weekend everyone.
I have been feeling frustrated at my slow loss over past few weeks but weighed today and have lost a pound since my last Saturday weigh in. I looked at losses over 11 weeks and it's 9 5 pounds, which includes 3 week holiday over Christmas where I stayed the same. I think it's sometimes helpful to look at longer term progress rather than weekly.
This round of dieting I needed to lose at least 2 stone - 11 stone to 9 stone.
My highest weight was 14 stone over a very long period (20 years!) so I have actually lost nearly 5 stone.
Don't forget I am a short arse and under 5 foot.
5 stone extra looks very different on someone under 5 foot to some who is around 5 feet 5 or more. I have always wanted to be around 5 foot 5!
Happy weekend to everyone xx

Glittermoonlight · 25/01/2025 09:50

Well done @SilverSprings510 on your 1lb loss, & your total lost so far is fantastic!🎉

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2025 10:26

@Azuresky68 Weird as your pic does f make you look bmi 30 and obese

I will have a fiddle with numbers @4pink1blue- guessing around 30% as if was 18s and lost 6 that’s 33%

im a lb and oZ girl. Old school lol

so you were 18.8 is that right ?

i was 17.4 so 242lbs or 110kg - 10% is 24lb so 5% 12lbs and 2.5% 6lbs and 1.25% 3lbs - so 6s which is 84lbs

so if I got to 6s loss it would be 24 24 24 12 so 35%

Currently lost 57lbs which is 24 24 6 3 so 27.75%

blondes wipes brow

too early for this

@Blondeshavemorefun if you Google it, there is a website you can put your before weight and now weight and it will tell you..

Ahhhhhh really ? I’ve just spent brain power on it

I really should read all replies before I reply 😂

To work it out -
Lbs Lost ÷ lbs starting weight X 100
So mine is 45÷247 X 100 = 18.2%

Seems so simple

I spent brain power working mine out

see my calculations 😂

ahhhhh I have fat fingers

24 24 6 3- 10% 10% 2.5% 1.25% so 23.75 not 27.75. Need to edit lol

Again I need to read all posts before replying 😂😂

57/242x100 - is much easier and 23.5%

weaselyeyes · 25/01/2025 10:42

@poppym12 The 20% will come from studies which say something like ' from our sample of xxxx patients, yyyy lost 20% of their body weight in the trial period'. This doesn't rule out some people losing much more and others less, it's just that in the more rigorous studies you report results which are statistically significant. It also takes much longer to carry out longitudinal studies and follow people up over a number of years, particularly controlling for how they've used medication etc. So there's nothing to say that someone couldn't lost 50% of their body weight if they took MJ for 18 months (for example), it just hasn't been evidenced yet within the parameters of a specific study. TLDR: it's likely to be a mean, not a ceiling.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2025 10:43

@SilverSprings510 well done and @Azuresky68

those last few pounds will be the hard buggers

agree over a month or 5w of a pen is a good way

we need to see a porky pic of you at 14s @Azuresky68. Sure you looked very different 😂

OP posts:
Azuresky68 · 25/01/2025 11:09

@Blondeshavemorefun
Here are photos submitted for MJ..11 stone and recently 9 stone 4. It mainly went on my tummy and face. Lost 8 inches off my waist.
I wish I had some from 14 stone days. I only have one with my sister and mum at my 14 stone weight. Will try and find it but don't want to post photo with mum and sis on..will see if I can edit it. That was the photo that shocked me try and lose weight. When I was 21 I went to a slimming club and got to 7 stone 7 pounds...think I have a photo somewhere. So I nearly doubled my weight from 7 stone 7 to 14 stone. The gain over the years was 46%

Hellooo a quick jump on to see you all, missed you guys. Well.. we had a shite sleep, the dogs wouldn't settle at all so up every couple of hours. We went back home early as people on the community group let us know power was restored. We were back home approx 30 mins and power off again! So I was in the middle of ironing DH shirt for his hospitality day, managed that, I've arrived at the salon to get my hair done thank goodness for car blowers haha. DH said the power came back on again so hopefully that's it now or I will need to make a visit to the laundrette for his work stuff urgh.

You'll not believe what I did lol 😆 DH was taking stuff to the van from the flat to head home, I had the dogs on lead and a bag and breezily unsnibbed the Yale lock, secured the door, and left the key inside on the kitchen counter 😵‍💫
It's the key that lives in the key safe, DH has no idea where the other 2 keys are! Oooops.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2025 12:31

Oh dear @NippyNinjaCrab hopefully will turn up soon

owlyboo · 25/01/2025 12:57

@4pink1blue that's an amazing NSV! What a difference in bra size!

@NippyNinjaCrab hope the power comes on soon. Stay safe.

@poppym12 I've lost 29% so far so I wouldn't worry to much about the research it's only an average.

@SilverSprings510 it's still great you'll have lost so much pre baby and then can get back to it after. Very exciting! Well done on the loss this week.

Well done on the loss @Azuresky68

Weigh day for me and I've lost 2lbs this week. Taking me within reaching distance of a healthy BMI 2lbs to go! Eek so close! 64 pounds lost altogether. 🥳

All of these losses are so fantastic- well done ladies. 🥳 Yes sometimes we STS and that sucks but down is the trend. 📉 👍🏼

It’s weird to feel so proud of people you've never met isn't it 😁🥰

Slimhopes · 25/01/2025 13:26

Well done on all the progress and @Azuresky68 you look fabulous, a slim woman !
I did the calculations - started with MJ at 206lbs, am 149 right now so that’s 27%. Had lost a bit the previous year on ozempic & wegovy so had started at 218 which means I’ve lost @31% of my body weight in the last 18 months. If I lose the 32lbs I have left, it’s @46%🫣
@NippyNinjaCrab you’ve had it hard with the storm, we were unscathed and just missed power cuts and water being off by a matter of a few streets. Hope it’s all sorted soon for you.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2025 13:26

Well done @owlyboo. Yes the odd sts or gain but overall a loss and weight decreasing

OP posts:
Slimhopes · 25/01/2025 13:27

@owlyboo congrats on being so close to a healthy BMI, that’s amazing 🥳

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2025 13:27

Seems amazing @Slimhopes and @4pink1blue that you would have almost lost half your body weight
