So I've just bit the bullet and designed up.for shemed. I'm not telling anyone other than my husband as tbh I can't see them being supportive. I'm 41 and just had a total hysterectomy, im 4ft 11 and over 13 stone, want to loose this weight. Most of the time my eating I don't feel is a huge issue for the most part... I do however like a little drink lol, wine, lager (please don't judge) anyone in the same boat, im hoping as it's an appetite suppressant ill be feeling too full to drink a pint or bottle of wine lol.

My blood test is arriving today. I'm also planning on keeping this to myself apart from DH who is supportive if not a bit worried about the side effects.

I just don't want to feel like all eyes are on me while I lose weight. I know for a fact I'd be really curious if someone I knew was on it, and it would be my first thought when I saw them, and I just don't want that for me.

I don't feel comfortable about lying and saying I'm just "eating right" though either so hoping I can just keep it vague? Maybe they'll guess, I don't know.

Have you thought about what you'll say?

I have read that it suppresses urges to drink fizzy drinks, so maybe it'll have the same effect with alcohol.

I wouldn't worry about just saying you are eating better, technically it would not be a lie, nobody needs to divulge anything they don't feel comfortable doing. Good luck xxx

@Chylde i’ve just started with SheMed too. Had my first injection on Saturday

I haven’t told a soul. I’m single so no DP, if I was in a couple, I probably would tell my partner but I don’t see why I should tell anyone else. I don’t tell anyone when I’m taking any other medication, it’s none of their business really. I may change my mind during the year of SheMed, but for now I’m happy with my little secret.

interestingly, I read recently that Mounjaro was being considered as a treatment for alcoholism as in trials it was noted that it had an effect on alcohol intake.

The app was down for a little while, but I've just been able to view my results. All within healthy ranges apart from high cholesterol 🫣

Interestingly, healthy but on the low end for thyroid function. Wonder what that's meant for me?

Hoping to be approved today 🤞🏻
