First week I felt great. Took my second jab of 2.5 and completely messed up.
Next day went to a friend who had cooked shepherd's pie (lamb mince), had a small portion with veg, small piece of cheese with crackers and sparkling water. I now know I should have avoided red meat, fatty foods and carbonated drinks! I have been suffering ever since. Now on day 5 and I still have severe diarrhea every night for 2 hours, burping during the day and tiredness. The only way I can go to work in the morning is to take imodian instants.
I need advice wise ones of mumsnet
(a) how can I make it stop? I'm eating chicken, stir-fry veg and protein yogurts. Plus diorylyte and lots of plain water.
(b) should I delay my next injection due Tuesday?
(c) should I go down to 1.75?
(d) should I stop? I feel so rough that I'm thinking is this worth it.

I emailed my prescriber who suggested imodian and gaviscon

I'd stay off yoghurt for now as diary can affect people too. Clean eating, mainly protein and veg, stay off fat, alcohol, red meat, processed food for now as additives may be triggering you too. Eat little and often. Could you have a stomach GI bug? You could delay your next jab, see how you go over next few days. The dose half life is 5 days so should be much less now, so it's most likely not mounjaro but something you've caught or eating.

I agree this might not be as a result of MJ - I had gastric flu over Christmas - very similar symptoms for four days. I took my MJ as usual and it has now cleared up.

treat it as you would any upset stomach - plenty of fluids, eat small plain meals and rest.

i found plain roast chicken the easiest thing to eat.

I have been taking MJ for four months now - still on 5mg.

Thanks for your responses. Feeling better now, if possibly a little constipated!!!
