I'm 100kgs and 185 cms tall.

So that's 6ft 1 and 15 stone 10lbs.

I wear size 12-14 clothes.

I think I could do with losing 10-15kgs.

Would it be silly to use these weight loss injections?

What's your BMI? Do you have any other health conditions (eg high blood pressure, high cholesterol)?

Adelstrop · 10/01/2025 12:56

Your BMI is not high enough to be prescribed MJ, unless you have certain medical conditions, such as hypertension, or are from an ethnic minority. It is borderline, so it might be worth checking your eligibility by filling in an application with any one of the approved prescribers.

I work out your BMI to be just over 29. The criteria for a prescription is a BMI of 30 or more, or a BMI of 27 if you have a weight related health condition, or if you are one of a certain list of ethnicities. Do you think either of those conditions apply to you?

I doubt we'd say it would be silly, seeing that we're all on it.Grin

Unfortunately, your bmi of 29.2 just missed the cut off. So unless you have other health conditions or your ethnicity puts you in the obese category for your bmi, you won't qualify for the injections.
