Heart palpitations

Started MJ in late September via Online Simple Pharmacy. Followed correctly at 2.5mg. Lost a lot of weight. I originally weighed 14.2 stone. Upped to 5mg no problem then 7.5mg is when I got the anxiety and heart palpitations that scared me half to death. Insomnia too. Forget nausea or diarrhoea! That's nothing compared to this and it's ABSOLUTELY the injection as i tested it out a second time.

So, I'm still going to persevere but I'm coming down to 5mg. I lost weight on the lower dose and 5mg so I am staying on that as my heart feels like it's going to burst on 7.5mg and that can't be good.

Electrolytes despite what some have said, have been a game changer for me. Always tons of water and please eat well. I get awful side affects if I eat badly, like pasta! Which is my thing being half Italian. I love the stuff or nibbling on a cake. Forget it. Re the anxiety it's 100% a thing for some of us so please report it to your provider as we need to have this noted down to help others.

My mental health also went dark and negative on 7.5mg i had suicidal thoughts and that isnt me. Don't be scared, just either come off or go on a lower dose. I stayed at home either in bed or relaxing for the 4 days I had those symptoms. Drinking tons of water. When it subsided, oh wow, the relief.

But definitely report it as when you go to Google it doesn't come up as a side affect anywhere, not even on YouTube which is my MJ bible. On here obviously but I had to trawl to find someone else who'd gone through it. So just wanted to help anyone desperate by sharing my story. I'm coming to the end of what should be 7.5mg going up to 10mg but as I say, I went back to 5mg. Happy and losing weight.

Hi OP, sorry you went throught that. I know how it feels and it can be scary to say the least. I just want to correct something though:

But definitely report it as when you go to Google it doesn't come up as a side affect anywhere

You'll find "increased heart rate" or "tachycardia" or "heart palpitations" in several sites about mounjaro on their 'serious side effects' or 'rare side effects' list. It's even on the manufacturer's list. So it's written somewhere. I believe because it's not a common issue with MJ users that's why you don't see a lot of people talking about it but it's acknowledged as a side effect. It's good that you posted about it though as others who're dealing with it will see they're not alone. I agree to keep reporting it so they're aware of how many people are dealing with it.

I've posted a photo of it on the manufacturer's page. Here's the link too. It's on the serious side effects list and in the "serious allergic reactions" category:

If you use this Google search alone, you'll find it on several sites just on the search results page alone:

I think you’ve misinterpreted, and ignored the”and” in there, it is not or very rapid heart beat, but explaining the symptoms, plural of an allergic reaction.

the op is clear she’s suffering anxiety, low mood, suicidal thoughts and rapid heart beat that accompanies the anxiety. She is not suffering an allergic reaction as you’ve interpreted, she’s not got the other symptoms like swelling etc,
