6 weeks no MJ, when does the constipation go??

One of my biggest “side effects of MJ was constipation. I haven’t had my MJ injection for 6weeks now but it’s not getting any better despite eating a very high fibre diet. When does this shit get back to normal? (pardon the pun!)

For me it hasn’t ever improved, I’m 13 weeks in. I feel like I’ve tried everything, I drink 3 litres or more a day, plenty of fibre, tried magnesium citrate, chia seeds, flax, fibogel, psyllium, prunes, prune juice. I now take dulcoease (stool softener) 4 days a week, dulcolax pico liquid about twice a week and suppositories when needed, but I only ‘go’ about three times a week now. My next plan is to try lactulose… I usually try something for a week before saying it doesn’t work for me. It’s the only side effect that I get, and I still think it’s worth it. I’ll also add that it’s not usually uncomfortable for me, if it is I’ll use a suppository and I’m fine 20 mins later! The things we do!

Too much fibre also causes constipation so you might need to review it and find the sweet spot. Natural laxative like black licorice might be worth a try

For me, only when I started the Solar fibre supplements as mentioned on here.

on MJ since September

Do you mean six weeks no, or six weeks on?

I gave up because it was shredding my arse.

Sorry op, I’ve just realised that you haven’t had a jab for 6 weeks and are still suffering. I read incorrectly and thought that you were 6 weeks in… hope it rights itself for you
