Lots of protein, fibre rich fruit, lots of water. Alcohol, fizzy drinks and fatty foods can cause a nasty reaction. Little and often for food and water helps stave off nausea.

Things that are beneficial for all of you are pre cook your starches and cool completely. When they are reheated they are resistant starches.
Have clean protein and plenty fibre.
Perhaps have some healthy snacks ready. Hard boiled egg, apple and chunk of cheddar, Greek yogurt with peanut butter stirred in - just some ideas to get you going. There are tons of ideas on here. Lucky dh to have your support.

Be sympathetic to side effects. Mine didn't last long but it wasn't easy at the start. Definitely buy less as stuff won't get used. I've enjoyed chicken, salad, feta cheese, roasted vegetables (not potatoes and not too much oil), grains and fruit. Also non alcoholic drinks like schloer. I've gone down to 2 small meals a day mostly.

Dh is very nice about the cost and says it's for my health and not a problem at all. I appreciate that a lot
