Woke up at 3am with a sore stomach and diarrhoea - sorry TMI. Hoping it’s not a side effect as I’ve done well to skate past any more significant ones so far. I did eat chicken yesterday that was on its use by date so perhaps more likely to be that…

Hope you feel better soon!

IMO it is better to use specific ingredients in a single application than an all-encompassing product unless you literally have no time. Pixi acid toner would be great after cleansing and before you apply the serum and then the day cream after that. Followed by a good SPF (when I say good, I don’t mean expensive, just factor 30-50 that can be worn under makeup if you wear it ). If you are using a pixi Vit c product it is a bit of a waste adding the serum on afterwards. In that situation, and When you’ve used your No7 up (which is a decent product but won’t have either Vit C or Vit A (retinol) in any meaningful quantities then replace the treat or serum step where you are using the no7 with either of those products to brighten/reduce fine lines. For the P/m choose a soothing hydrating moisturiser to avoid compromising your skin barrier after vit A application. The inkey list peptide is a great product. Hyaluronic acid is a plumping agent so won’t do any harm in conjunction with a vit c.

Double cleansing after removing makeup is also a game changer to a clearer skin - I use the Inkey list oatbalm as a first step then a creamy cleaner as the second. The daily wear of SPF over the past 5/6 years has also been a massive benefit in my case.

once a week I do a resurfacing mask/exfoliant - the Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% is a good one (£8 or so) but is quite strong. Followed by a hydration product such as La Roche Posay cicaplast repairsbalm or similar very hydrating product. I also apply a fake tan once a week (it makes me look slimmer in my head 😂) I use St Tropez express bronzing mousse that works in as little as an hour - max colour in 3 hours.

In terms of professional treatments I have a dermaplaning session once a month (menopause face fuzz begone!) an eyebrow tint and tidy and an eyelash tint and lift every 8 weeks so that I need minimal makeup day to day.

Disclaimer- I’m not a beautician, just someone who has had an interest in this area for a looooong time!

Massively appreciate this and formally absolve you of any responsibility in the event that I set fire to my own face 🤣

I have 2 doses of a 2.5mg pen left and a 5mg pen waiting to be started. Would it be a mistake to take the last two 2.5mg doses together on Sunday to start on 5mg, do we think? Would involve two separate injections, I think.

Hi @Notadream - can you tell me more? I can’t find the Oushk offer and need to find a supplier that’s got an offer for my 7.5mg pen order.l tomorrow. Haven’t managed to get any takers for my MedExpress code yet and it’s too expensive full price. £99 or thereabouts would be amazing.

I’ve only ever ordered with Asda which is now extortionate but I’m nervous of trying to switch as I have to tick yes to so many things like gallbladder & antidepressants…. so I haven’t quite taken the plunge

Me too. My friend was using Asda and I liked that I’ve heard of them and its collection from 2 minutes away. I’m too scared and can’t face the faff of leaving. Now I’m under 30 bmi but still overweight I worry I can’t switch.

I’m with Boots which seems to be the priciest of all 😕.

You get a 10% discount after the first month and thereafter but it’s still very expensive.
But I’m familiar with the process now and like that I can collect from the Boots just a short walk away. Not sure I can face all the questions and the ‘photos of shame’ again with a new provider!

DarkForces · 03/01/2025 09:56

I have to send a new photo every month. I'm hoping they're impressed 😂

WoodsWanderer · 03/01/2025 10:06

Morning all. At the end of 6 weeks I've lost 13lb on mj (lost 2lb waiting on it arriving so 15lb since 18 nov).

Only managed 0.8lbs this week although my calories were 1300 average and I've been walking every day. I think it's down to my protein being lower and more treat stuff making up my calories.

I did 4x2.5 then 2x3.75. Onto 5mg today for my last 2 jabs and going to order another 5mg. I wish med express did a maintenance plan, not sure others take you on for that if you hit target?

Well done on all the losses over the toughest time of year for booze and food! Also loving the skin chat. I had my botox yesterday and started on the snail essence, the things we do 🤣

PinkArt · 03/01/2025 10:11

Gave myself the best birthday present today. It might be by ounces, but I'm 18st 1lb AND at 39.9 BMI back to merely obese 🥳

Hoping to shake off this insufferable cold for next week to see how much of that was the cold and how much was going up to 5mg.

Cantbesure · 03/01/2025 10:30

Just done my 7th jab - I went to 3.75 as my appetite was not suppressed on last week's 2.5 and I've basically been playing around with the same kilo coming and going whilst eating and drinking too much over the festivities.

I took advice from someone (I think on this thread) of marking the 45th click point so it's easier if I do this again next week.

I still get anxious around taking the jab and go into a bit of a spin. Does anyone else do this or have any good strategies to manage it?

Overall I'm feeling positive that MJ is going to support me to losing weight I've failed to manage by myself since Covid hit and get me to a healthy, happy weight.

I feel like my face shape is returning although as I'm in my 50s I've dug out my nuface mini and doubling down on my skincare!

Yes, exactly this. I pay extra not to have to faff around with photos etc and I trust them to hold photos appropriately.

I do find the jabs complicated. The pen seems very unwieldy and it takes ages for me to depress the plunger. Partly because I have slightly arthritic hands. I don't know why it's so complicated to do but I assume there's a good reason for it.

Hiya, is anyone with Oushk?

I really need to switch supplier as I just can’t afford to stay with Voy at £199 per pen. Their customer service is good but not using the coaching. The discount only works if someone uses the code and I’m still paying full price even with posting the code.

I’ve found a few that offer long term maintenance plans (Oushk, Cloud Pharmacy and Curate). Was thinking Cloud as they were v helpful replying to my query but Oushk were also v helpful and their prices are v competitive now (according to the Miss Mounjaro chart) so hopefully that would make long term maintenance affordable.

Oushk’s reviews are excellent on TrustPilot but I’d love opinions from you fabulous lot if anyone is currently using them?

Thanks November club and well done on all your losses!

I haven’t been with them but you just need to shop around each pen for the best price. I’ve done Superdrug, MedExpress and now IQ doc. Will be back at MedExpress for the next pen when hopefully I can get the 50 days since ordering discount.

JasonTindallsTan · 03/01/2025 11:37

Use monj.co.uk to find the best prices for each pen.

Cantbesure · 03/01/2025 11:38

Happy birthday @pinkart and well done on the loss. Great birthday present.

I'm also wondering about switching providers due to cost but put off by the faff and worrying about a bmi cut off. I'm currently 28 but hopefully in another month that will have come down. Once you go beyond 5mg the prices seem much more prohibitive.

I'm with Oushk and they have been great so far. They have regular discount codes and a friendly Facebook group as well as regular lives with the prescribing pharmacist. The few times I've needed support I've whatsapped them and had a response within a few hours. I haven't yet looked into their maintenance plans but will no doubt use one of them when the time comes.

I'm not one for changing supplier regularly so spent a bit of time researching before I started and Oushk ticked all the boxes for me at the time and still does.

Happy New Year all! I’m back from holiday and first weigh in since Christmas Eve. Honestly thought I would gain or stay the same, especially due to the fruity cocktails and wine I was having! But I have lost 1.5 lbs. Unheard of!!!

All I would say is that I am on week 3 of 5mg and the suppression is still very high, which is fine in a normal week, but did make food on holiday a bit miserable, especially the first few days. H was a bit worried as my appetite was almost non existent and I find fatty things like burgers just repulsive. Luckily it was a buffet most days, so lots of fruit, salad etc.

we have a big holiday booked for our 20th anniversary in the summer and I don’t want to feel that miserable about food like that again. Plenty of time to see how we go.

Anyway, jabbing tonight, two days late, and will be gradually shifting to a Monday so that I can vaguely enjoy food at weekends.

Hi All & Happy New Year!

I've just been catching up my up on all the posts since the new thread. Well done to everyone for surviving the Christmas period! I stayed the same which I am delighted about as had many meals out and quite a bit of alcohol. Am doing dry January for the first time ever to support DH so will see how that goes. I'm not a big drinker but like a glass of wine with dinner multiple times per week so am sure it will do me good to have a few weeks off.

Am still on 5mg and have just ordered another 5mg pen so will be on it for a while yet. I have a 7.5 pen in the fridge so maybe after the next one I'll move up. Food noise has definitely increased recently but not sure if that's just the time of year and the lack of routine. Fingers crossed I won't regret staying on 5 for a while longer.

Weigh / jab day on Sunday and hopeful for a small loss to kickstart the new year.

Right, off to post a couple of Vinted parcels as I'm selling off clothes that are getting too big - nice problem to have! Grin

IHateMozzies · 03/01/2025 12:47

MG20-XMAS is the MedExpress code for no order in 50 days. Hoping it will still work in 2 weeks 😬

PandasMum · 03/01/2025 13:02

I’m delighted with my result this week as I’d got so used to 1lb! Progress to date:

Week 0 (pre mj) -3lbs
Week 1 -9
Week 2 -8
Week 3 -1
Week 4 -2
Week 5 -2
Week 6 -2
Week 7 -1
Week 8 -1
Week 9 -4

Total loss 33lbs / 2 stone 5lbs down !

I have another 51lbs to go to get out of the obese bracket so there’s still a long way to go - but I’m happy with that !

Possibly. Which scales did you get? I suspect that the MeThreesixty app thingy is depressingly accurate tho 38% (!) body fat WTF? 😭

off for a gossipy booze-free lunch with my besties today. Enjoying thinking about my wardrobe possibilities 🥰

The mythreesixty app gave me a fat % of 44 which was exactly the same as the boots in store scales so I think it seems to be fairly accurate

It is a good feeling to move down to obese range! I am so looking forward to being merely overweight but I have a couple of stone to lose to achieve that. Onwards and downwards - 2025 will be our year ❤️

Pumpkinforever · 03/01/2025 14:18

Great loss @PandasMum so close to being overweight 💪🏻.

I reckon it will be March for me to be overweight. (Otherwise Easter will be cancelled 😡)
