Week 7 check in, still on 2.5 dose…..

What have I achieved this week….
2.8 lbs lost this week 💪
have lost 7% of starting weight 👍
wrinkles have appeared 😩
increased fibre so no constipation ✅
Boobs 🍈🍈 have seriously shrunk 🍒 not quite 🍳 but heading that way!
I can now wipe bum without risking putting my back out 👌

SW 18st 4 lbs
CW 16st 13lbs 9 oz . I will take it as it begins with a 16 🤣
Goal is to see pubes when lying in the bath, still a long way off!!

total lose is 1 stone 4lbs and and 1 ounce! 💃

Todays research/googling is retinol!

We can do this 💪

Edited

Ooh. Fab result! Love the NSV’s 😂

Start off slowly with retinol(Vit A) - you’ll need to either buffer with a moisturiser or use every 2-3 days. check the % of the solution and don’t go too high too early. Use in the PM and you must use a SPF every day regardless of the weather. Effects are long term so you’ll see a difference over 6 months continued use. Vit c is a brightening product which you should use in the AM. Again introduce slowly. Make sure you allow enough time in between steps to get the product to sink in. Do not apply near the eyes. Necks also need a specific product to help the delicate tissue there. Friends of mine rate the skin &me tret prescription service but I haven’t used it personally.

Products I rate from personal experience:
NIOD fractionating eye serum
Strivectin peptight range for eyes, neck, face
oskia vit c capsules
prai neck cream
The ordinary retinol

Happy googling!

Oh goodness, this thread moves on fast.

i was so tired yesterday I spent it eating Christmas chocolate 🙈 I really need to get back to my healthy balance! I definitely ate less - no dinner… because I was full of chocolate orange and after eights 😭

back to calorie counting I go to regain some control.

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 02/01/2025 11:50

Hi everyone! Found you on the new thread, thank you Mounjaropen!

Happy New Year! 🥳

Looking forward to going up to 5mg tomorrow, suppression on 3.75 starts ok but quickly tails off - have pretty much forgotten I’m on MJ! 😂 need to get my head back in the game…

Have just had 2 slices of toast with marmalade and now beating myself up for eating something not good for me. I did need to eat. Just never fancy anything at all.

Marmalade on toast is better than a chocolate orange despite similar taste profiles, so it's practically a Xmas treat related chocolate free substitute. Marmalade surely counts as fruit though. And two slices isn't horrendous.

namechangedyetagain · 02/01/2025 14:29

I've done well and not had chocolate since November, not even over Christmas. Just feel guilty every time I eat which is daft I know. Back to work next week so I'll be back on my porridge or soup for lunch until warmer days arrive.

You needed to eat so you ate. That's not something to beat yourself up over. You had some toast, not a whole selection box!

I recommend Oushk pharmacy if you struggle with Medexpress, they have an offer for £99 for newbies, and will take a screen grab of an invoice from your old provider, and the usual questions etc.

Hi @Notadream - can you tell me more? I can’t find the Oushk offer and need to find a supplier that’s got an offer for my 7.5mg pen order.l tomorrow. Haven’t managed to get any takers for my MedExpress code yet and it’s too expensive full price. £99 or thereabouts would be amazing.

Della82 · 02/01/2025 15:58

@Pepperama if you go to a comparison website like monk.co.uk they list the prices with discounts.
i think Oushk has £40 off for new customers. If you subscribe to their mailing list they always seem to be running a discount!

Is your order likely to be after 50 days? There is a MedExpress code for that circumstance?

@PinkArt @namechangedyetagain I am hoping my days of eating a whole selection box are over 😂. If we can’t fall off the wagon a little bit over Christmas/New Year life would be tricky.

Now after festive period my girlie WhatsApp groups have exploded with diet chat, dry January and Veganuary. Lots seem to be aiming for the 5:2 or Fast 800. Met a couple for coffee today, I walked and had herbal tea, luckily there was no WLI talk. It is obvious to them I am being careful and exercising by walking lots (not a gym bunny at all).

But I bet some will start MJ and may even be on the few January threads that have started. So pleased that November has only one thread.

it’s one meal so don’t be too hard on yourself. Maybe keep some prepped fruit in the fridge/bircher museli ready? Or choose a boiled egg and one slice of toast? You’ve got this 💪

I once did Veganuary and dry January at the same time. It was the singularly most depressing month of my life 😂

what I also learned was that vegan food that you don’t make yourself is full of UPF shite. Vegan food that you do make yourself takes aaaaages. And no cheese or eggs. I still have nightmares about it 😂

Pumpkinforever · 02/01/2025 16:26

Well I certainly will not be doing veganuary and my birthday is in January so a dry month is out.

So in my mind I need to shift another 3 stone so I think I should be able to achieve that with another 5 or 6 pens including my current one (week 9 jab was on 31/12). A new year resolution is to continue MJ until sorted.

Pumpkinforever · 02/01/2025 16:30

I suppose we will all have a Monjarnuary

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 02/01/2025 16:44

Hiya, is anyone with Oushk?

I really need to switch supplier as I just can’t afford to stay with Voy at £199 per pen. Their customer service is good but not using the coaching. The discount only works if someone uses the code and I’m still paying full price even with posting the code.

I’ve found a few that offer long term maintenance plans (Oushk, Cloud Pharmacy and Curate). Was thinking Cloud as they were v helpful replying to my query but Oushk were also v helpful and their prices are v competitive now (according to the Miss Mounjaro chart) so hopefully that would make long term maintenance affordable.

Oushk’s reviews are excellent on TrustPilot but I’d love opinions from you fabulous lot if anyone is currently using them?

Thanks November club and well done on all your losses!

Post Xmas update -
I started Nov 26th, lots of GI side effects and way too much suppression on week 2 so cut my 3rd dose to 1.25mgs - still nausea, D&V. So made my 4th dose 0.62mgs - decent suppression and good lack of food noise still.
I took 0.83mgs last week. Able to eat healthily and indulge a bit on Xmas Day but lack of food noise still good. Only side effect has been a bit of heartburn now and then.

6th dose tonight - I’m going to try a couple more clicks and take 1mg.

I’ve lost 1stone 5lbs in 5 weeks so am pleased with the progress.

Good luck for January everyone.

We’ve about the same to lose so I reckon about the same amount of pens. If I manage to lose it all in 8/9 months I’d be so happy!

Thank you 🤩
I think I’m just very sensitive to it. And very lucky the effects are still ok on such small doses. X

Interested in this too as am with asda, just ordered 3rd pen and have had a discounts each time but I will need this for at least another 6 months and would like a maintenance suitable one too

I've a similar goal - minimum 3 stone more, prob more 3.5 and I've just done 10th jab today, I've stuck with 5mg as good reduction in food noise and suppression for now. Same resolution - stick on this till am at goal and stable. We've got this!

LilyRose88 · 02/01/2025 19:57

I've lost another 1lb this week so have lost a stone in total. I've got another 5mg pen for January as I'm doing well on 5mg with minimal side effects except constipation. I'm eating a few dates a day to help with that. I'm with Asda as it's convenient for me to pick it up from their pharmacy. They've sent me a 10% off code valid for a week and I'm toying with the idea of ordering another 5mg pen for February as I'm doing well on that dose. I could order a 7.5mg pen but I am losing slowly and steadily on the 5mg. Decisions decisions. I would like to lose another 10lbs. I carry a lot of weight around my middle (post menopausal) and I still have quite a spare tyre! 😂
