Should I skip 2 weeks?

Hi,recently started on MJ (under the NHS for diabetes). I've just had my second jab.

We are going on holiday in 2 weeks, to the Caribbean. The temperature will be high 20s. I'm aware that, once open, the pen should not be exposed to temperatures above 30C. I won't necessarily be able to keep it in a fridge - we will be moving around.

I was thinking that, rather than have the hassle of trying to keep.the pen at the right temperature, I should skip 2 weeks. I'd then restart still on 2.5 for 4 weeks rather than go straight to 5mg but don't know if this is a good plan.

Any ideas? Thanks

If you really won't be able to keep the pen under 30 degrees then yes, you could leave it behind and not inject for a week, assuming you inject on the day that you travel. Then continue with 2.5mg when you get back. It would really only be one injection that you miss, as you can vary the injection by up to 4 days in either direction if you need to change the injection day.

Thanks @SilenceInside . That was my thinking. I usually inject on Saturday (well, I have for both injections so far!) but thought the next one I could do on Sunday, then the fourth one before I fly I could do on the Tuesday as we fly early on the Wednesday.

Then we fly back 2 Wednesdays later and I could start again on the Thursday. So I'd go 16 days between injections. My nurse has prescribed me another 2.5 pen so I can start that as soon as I get back and take it for 4 weeks before moving up to 5mgs.
