Where to go from here?

I've been on Mounjaro since September. My weightloss has been very slow, only 1 stone which tbh could just be due to eating very low calories in Nov/Dec as I've been very busy at work.
Due to side effects and changing providers, my treatment plan at the start was slow:
First 5 weeks - 2.5 (Medexpress)
Next 5 weeks - 2.5 (voy)
4 weeks - 3.75 (voy)
5 weeks - 5 (voy)
Last weekend I finished my last pen and I had ordered my next pen from voy. I had canceled my plan with them as I wanted to change provider but they sent me a discount so I reactivated my account and used the discount. When my next pen came, instead of sending me the next dose up, they have resent the 5mg pen. I messaged them and they said that is what I selected at checkout. I really don't remember selecting anthing, I don't think there was an option to select the 5mg or 7.5mg pen, just to confirm a purchase. They offered to send a 2.5 pen and do multiple injections to get the 7.5 but when I questioned this, they said I'd have to pay for the extra pen. I refused and cancelled my plan with them.

So anyway, now I have a 5mg pen in the fridge ready to inject Saturday. I am planning to inject the weekly amount then a quarter of the bonus dose for the next 4 weeks. This will obviously not ne a 7.5 dose but will be more than 5 - 6.75 maybe?

I now want to change providers but don't know who to go with as I'm hearing things about medexpress not being as good as it was. I want to keep it as cheap as possible because the weightloss has been so slow. I see others have lost upto 3 stone in their first two months and I am so frustrated. I have spent so much so far and have nothing to show for it.

Does anyone have any advice on providers to change to or if I should continue?

Try looking at monj.co.uk which is a price comparison site with price lists showing the full prices or the discount prices. All providers are GPhC registered. There are lots to choose from apart from the ones you've mentioned.

I second the recommendation for monj.co.uk - but also don't be disheartened by initial slow loss - there are plenty of people (me being one of them) who don't really get much effect until higher doses. In my case the 10mg pen started to work, 12.5 (and then 15) were when I really noticed the suppressant effect, and weight loss since then has been slow but steady.

Just to add that I started at the end of May, and am now 3 stone down, most of that being from mid August onwards.

I do find myself wondering though if I would have lost the same amount or more without the injections and could have saved the money.

Do you ever think this?

I’m a slow loser too - 3.5 stones since May. Yes on a normal diet I might have lost the same amount in that time, but realistically I would have done it because if it was possible, I wouldn’t have done it already. I’d made so many new starts and promises over years and years and never managed to lose more than a few pounds before all my willpower left me.
So I think the cost of the medication has been more than worth it. I’m 99.9% sure I would not be sitting here today 3.5 stone lighter without it.

Same as Tusktusk - I'm late 50s (and have been overweight since I was a child), and have only lost a reasonable amount of weight once doing slimming world - and subsequent attempts via slimming world / weightwatchers / calorie counting etc have failed. There was a point where I worried that I was wasting money as it wasn't working, but now I have no regrets - this is an absolute game changer for me.

I would 100% recommended MedExpress.

I've shared my £40 off code on here a few times and have had nearly £1000 off in referral bonus so it's not cost me anything for months.

I started in August and have lost 10kg. I intend to keep going even if titrating down to avail of the many many benefits of MJ and of the dramatically reduced risk of diabetes that losing a significant percentage of weight and maintaining gives.
Something that slim people don't seem to really understand is that it is genuinely considerably harder to lose if obese because of metabolic and hormonal reasons. I don't think I would have been able to lose 10kg in four months on my own.
