Just approved and am assuming that the pen won’t arrive until after Christmas so will start the new year with a, er, prick.

Anyway, thought I’d start a thread for anyone else planning on a slimmer 2025!

Should have added that I'm a shortie...

SW - 12st 3/4lbs
GW - 10st 7lbs
Height 5ft 1

And an oldie, as I'm using imperial 😂 47 years old...

Great first week @Happytoday69 Have you been noticeably eating less/different?

TicTac80 · 29/12/2024 09:18

My order has just been approved! Yay! Not sure when it will arrive.

I'm start intermittent fasting today as well (16:8), so will be good to see how this all goes. I’ll try starting more good habits to keep up with them once this course finishes.

Seaitoverthere · 29/12/2024 09:24

@Happytoday69 I am a similar weight but a fair bit shorter!
SW pre Mounjaro 117.1kg
SW Mounjaro. 100.7kg

I’ll update current weight after a full week on it. Think I am going to order 5mg pen soon to take advantage of 20% off that my provider is offering .

VelvetWildflower · 29/12/2024 10:01

Royal Mail have said they'll deliver today before 7:30pm. I didn't even know Royal Mail deliver on a Sunday but apparently they do!

I'm going out about 1pm so I'm praying they show up before otherwise I'll be talking to them through the Ring doorbell hoping they'll leave it in the porch 🫣

undercoverhero74 · 28/12/2024 18:58

@cantstandit we are start date twins 😊
Have you had any side effects yet? I took my first dose at 4pm yesterday and haven't noticed any difference yet.

Yay happy to follow along with you! i just have a mild feeling of sickness - at the moment no other side effects. If I was at work I probably wouldn’t notice but as I’m home analysis is in overdrive..!

mince3point14159265 · 29/12/2024 10:08

Another new joiner to the club!
Ordered before Christmas but didn't want to risk any side effects over Christmas as had enough to do without feeling extra tired, so took first dose yesterday morning. Had really bad stomach ache overnight probably due to having some leftover trifle, but probably ate a lot less than I would usually eat in that twilight zone between Christmas & NY where fridge clearance is the name of the game! 😂

Only other thing is quite a nasty bruise where I injected. Is this normal?

Completely normal.

mince3point14159265 · 29/12/2024 10:45

Thank you @VelvetWildflower 🤗

Dunkou · 29/12/2024 10:55

I'm starting today. I didn't actually expect to receive it on a Sunday so am not quite prepared for it, but will go for it this afternoon after lunch.

cloudjumper · 29/12/2024 11:03

I just saw on my dispatch announcement email, and it says that it's estimated to arrive on 2 Jan! Getting ahead of myself Grin

I've been logging my calories and generally trying to make good choices. My calories are definitely down especially in the first few days when I felt super full all the time. I was hungrier on Friday and yesterday as it wore off but I still had much more willpower than normal. There is a family packet of my favourite crisps in kitchen that has been there all week - normally that would have been gone within the day 😂. I’m also a bit older than you, menopausal and with a dodgy thyroid so there is hope for us all!

Kay2000 · 29/12/2024 13:37

I ordered from Asda on 27th and haven’t heard a thing yet. I’m hoping someone will be working tomorrow to approve me and despatch it. Now I’ve decided to be brave and give it a go, I want to get started.

ThisisnotwhatIhadplanned · 29/12/2024 13:41

Hi! Please can I join? I received my pen yesterday and took my first dose before bed. I woke up about 3am and did the biggest wee I have ever done in my life, and have been needing to wee constantly ever since! I haven’t had any desire to pick at any foods on the kitchen counters at all today, which is some form of miracle, and I’m super thirsty, which is great for making sure I drink enough.

I’m very excited about this. After two years of trying diets, calorie counting etc my emotional eating always got in the way. I promised myself that if I could maintain my weight for 6 months then I could use Mounjaro to shift the weight I need to lose, and I have, so here we go! It is my 40th at the end of April. I was a side 6 on my 30th, and would love to be a 10/12 for my 40th.

RosaBaby2 · 29/12/2024 14:45

What are we all seeing as 'supression'?

It's now 48h after my first jab.

I've been thinking about food pretty normally, thinking I want to eat but then I can only manage a few spoonfuls and it's just not enjoyable. I just looked at all the crap we've got left from Christmas and then walked off because nothing is calling me.

Asda coming tonight with vitamins, protein stuff etc.

Seaitoverthere · 29/12/2024 15:14

I would call that suppression @RosaBaby2 , that isn’t happening to me and I can eat a full meal.

After going to bed hungry and waking up hungry I had a big carb heavy breakfast which was less than ideal but have felt fairly full after. Went for a walk earlier, came back feeling very hot and now am freezing and can’t get warm.

undercoverhero74 · 29/12/2024 15:51

@Seaitoverthere same! I don't feel like I have any suppression at all yet and it's been 48hrs! I am watching what I eat and following a low carb diet but am hoping after my next dose I'll start to feel something at least.

RamsayBoltonsConscience · 29/12/2024 15:59

It's arrived!😬 Going too inject tonight before I go to bed. Fingers crossed!

Seaitoverthere · 29/12/2024 16:05

@undercoverhero74 we may not get it on 2.5mg I guess as some people don’t. I do think I possibly feel it a bit this afternoon possibly and did feel I felt it yesterday morning but then ended up really hungry last night and this morning . I guess Rome wasn’t built in a day and all that and we are going to have to be patient !

undercoverhero74 · 29/12/2024 16:15

@Seaitoverthere very true! I was just so excited to start and Im a little disappointed that I have noticed zero difference lol.
It's given me the motivation to eat well again so hopefully that in itself will be sufficient until we up the dose.

Patience has never been my strong point 😂

Shmallow · 29/12/2024 16:21

Can I join? 🙋‍♀️ Have signed up with Shemed, hoping to get all round health improvements that come with shedding the pounds that need to go! I need to go through the call and blood test yet so 🤞

RosaBaby2 · 29/12/2024 16:43

@undercoverhero74 I am very much like that too, why am I not thin already it'd been 2 days!
