No gallbladder

I recently had a communication from MedExpress asking about how well controlled my thyroid is (I have hypothyroidism) and I’ve just seen someone say MedExpress won’t continue to prescribe for them because they have no gallbladder (neither do I)
apparently they are saying there’s not enough research on these medications in people with gallbladder disease. Anyone else had this? I’m really worried. Have you had your gallbladder removed and use another supplier who’s ok with that?

I have no gallbladder and was prescribed Mounjaro for diabetes control and weight loss, been reviewed a couple of times now by the GP too and no concerns about the lack of gallbladder.

I am fine with no gall bladder. I am with Lloyds. No problem with thyroid, recent blood tests showed everything in normal range.

I saw someone on one the the facebook forums had been rejected when previously prescribed too and others were saying the same thing.

It will continue evolving who WLI are prescribed too as providers (especially those whose business models focus on volume rather than individual support) look at the risks/liabilities of prescribing.

The issue (someone said on the thread) could be related to if you had previous gallstones, you're predisposed to forming bile duct stones, also any small gallstones potentially left in bile ducts after surgery could later cause issues due to obesity or during rapid weight loss which WLI can cause.

I have no gallbladder and I’m with Asda. No issues.
