Mounjaro side effects for 9 days solid…. Anyone else?

Hi everyone… so my MJ journey has yielded some good results so far.. 4 weeks at 2.5 then 4 weeks at 5.0mg. I thought I was lucky in having no side effects, but the day after my 4th and final dose of the 5.0 mg I have had really bad diarrhoea. I didn’t change the food I was eating, what I was drinking, exercise etc from the previous 7 weeks (literally only change was I keep my pens in the fridge all the time, and for this last dose it was out of the fridge for two days before hand but still in tight conditions - I know this should air zero difference).

9 days on and I still have diarrhoea and I’m battered by it. I’m drinking lots of water and taking Imodium for last two days but still here. Food is generally protein and veg with some toast in the am. I was due to go up to 7.5 on Saturday pm just gone but I didn’t dare take the shot.

Anyone else have this? For this length of time. I have read so many schools of thought that 5.0 was awful for many and 7.5 calmed things, but others have gone back to 2.5… have reached out to the prescribed (med-x) but they said they’d email back on Friday and I’m still waiting so thought I’d ask all of you lovely’s if anyone had been in the same boat (appreciate everyone is different but just trying to see a light)…. Thank you

9 days is a long time, and significantly past the half life of rhe drug, and as you’re on a low dose, you will have very little in your system,.and you’re not a long term user as this stage.

You need to make an urgent gp appt, as chronic diarrhea can be down to digestive tract problems.

Are you sure you didn’t pick up a bug…there’s lots of d&v around at this time of year.if that might be possibly it, stop the Imodium, fast for 24hrs and just drink water initially then progress to bland food, if it’s a bug that should clear it.

I know this is tmi:.is it explosive and like someones switched a tap on?
Omeprazole has worked for it for me

I’m not sure… both my kids of have been ill and so quite likely… but wasn’t sure if it would last nine days. :-(

@Jinxy1979 diarrhoea due to a bug can last 5-7 days, as WLJ cause slower digestive transit plus use of Imodium ,your body may not have had the chance to clear the bug out fully….if fasting doesn’t work or start to improve things then def see your gp.
