Mounjaro 2nd dose vomiting

Hi,
Ive been reading a lot of the threads. Some great success stories.
I started Mounjaro last week and have 4 stone to lose.
My first week was great, just a grumbly tummy on the day after the jab. Good appetite suppression all week.

I took my 2nd jab on Tuesday evening. Felt reasonably ok Wednesday but yesterday felt nauseous and burpy all day. Took a Kwells but hardly ate anything.
Last night, I went to bed early just feeling rough and about midnight vomited a huge amount of food.
Felt better fairly quickly.

Ive seen some people talk about what they eat around injection times that may help…?
I also wonder if I should drop down to 1.25mgs next week?

I really appreciate the lack of food noise and the suppression but eating so little for a few days really doesn’t feel right.

Has anyone else experienced this?
any advice very welcome. X

I eat very little the three days after injecting but try to have a good quality protein shake with added nutrients, and electrolytes and that stops me feeling sick. It feels to me (having done a lot of water fasting in the past) that the sickness is mostly from not eating and essentially detoxing too quickly as you lose fat and essential salts (hence taking electrolytes).

I ate very plainly and very little the first few weeks, I had 5 stone to lose so I figured short term there were be no damage. I echo other poster, protein shakes were handy. Take a look at what you are eating. Stick to the prescribed dose and speak to your prescriber if it continues.

I agree, what you eat is crucial. Avoid fried or fatty food. Drink loads. Try electrolytes. Eat plain easy to digest food, nothing spicy.
