Would you take a break from Wegovy if you are ill?

I have been taking Wegovy for 5 weeks and supposed to take dose 6 today. Problem is have come down with something and not sure if I should pause the injection or not. I have a temperature, feel a bit naucious and just off. Do you know if there are any consequences if you skip a dose?

I wouldn't skip a week but I might wait a day or 2 before injecting next dose.

I suppose it's roughly the same as Mounjaro. You can delay a few days then take it and take the next dose 7 days later (it could mean a change in your usual jab day), or if it's been more than a certain number of days, then wait till your next scheduled jab day to take. Essentially, it means you can skip up to a week if absolutely necessary, in this case because you're ill, which is understandable.

"What should I do if I miss a dose?
If you have forgotten to inject Wegovy and it is 5 days or less since you should have used it, inject it as soon as you remember. You should then inject your next dose 7 days later, and make that your new scheduled dose day.

If it is more than 5 days since you should have used Wegovy, skip the missed dose. You should then take your next dose as usual on your next scheduled day. You must not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose."

I'm also considering skipping this week's mounjaro as I've been feeling a bit off this week, but as I'm on 7.5mg I wonder if it might be worse when I go back to the same dose next week and might make any symptoms worse.

I wouldn’t skip it.

Don't skip the whole week. If you are feeling rough and you get tricky side effects on your first couple of days after injecting, then push back the injection day by a day or two. But only if you think that you won't be able to manage the side effects if you stick to your usual day.
