A milestone for me - no-one else to share it with who'll get it

Today, my BMI is 25. I bought my outfit for a Christmas night out and it's a size 10! For the first time in almost 2 decades, I'm a size 10-12 and can fit into a size 10 dress! (Yeah, I know, vanity sizing, but it still feels a big milestone). I've lost 17kg thanks to Wegovy and feel so much better for it.

🥳 Well done!

Redlightbulb · 18/11/2024 17:58

Congrats. I can understand the joy. I’m 40 and only time I have been a BMI of 25 or lower was prob when I was in primary school

Hope the outfit is fab and you enjoy the night out.

Neolara · 18/11/2024 21:32

Congratulations! I bet you'll look fabulous in your new size 10 outfit 🥳

Amazing !!! I understand . I’m BMI 27 ( was 35) and 25 still seems a way off.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 18/11/2024 23:04

Congratulations 🥳

healthybychristmas · 18/11/2024 23:33

That's absolutely amazing. Congratulations! How much have you lost and when did you start it?

healthybychristmas · 18/11/2024 23:34

Sorry, I can see you've lost 17 kg. I meant to ask what you weigh now!

IHateMozzies · 19/11/2024 00:39

Amazing! Well done 👏🏻 xx

Kilroywashere · 19/11/2024 01:00

Wonderful. So jealous!

Well done OP! Completely get how you feel, as my BMI is 25.3 now and I haven’t told anyone either.

I guess I’m a bit confused at how I personally see BMI 25. I think my milestone might be 24.9 as that is technically in the healthy weight category for BMI whereas 25 is still in the overweight category. So 0.7kg left for me to go until I’m officially healthy.

caringcarer · 19/11/2024 03:17

👏👏👏I get it OP. I've lost over 4 stone on Ozempic but still a few stone left to go. I bought a smaller dress size for my holiday clothes and it felt good.

68kg now. I've got back into exercise alongside the Wegovy so the balance of fat and muscle has changed along the way. I really just started because I wanted to reduce my risk of heart problems after a family history emerged. Dress size wasn't the main motivator but it's a nice surprise! I'm hoping to get to 24 and then wean off. Not sure about maintenance options - the place I get mine from doesn't do them so I'd need to switch and delivery options where I am aren't that reliable.
