Hi, I took my first 2.5mg on Saturday, felt a bit nauseous Saturday night and since Sunday morning can't keep anything down. Tried a gastro tablet and it came back up. Need advice on what do to next please 🙏

The sickness does pass after a while (although no one can tell how long for each person), according to some people who've experienced the same, but I'd still speak to your prescriber today. They should be able to give you some tablets to help or advice you further. Failing that, you can walk into any pharmacy and ask for help with nausea or anti-sickness meds, or contact GP.

I had the same. Never felt so ill. It passed after 3 or 4 days but it was bad enough that it was my first and only injection. No way could I face it again. I did call the doctor about anti nausea meds, they weren’t interested as I’d got Wegovy on a private prescription. You’ll have to ride it out OP. I really feel for you OP x

What drug are you using? Also what are you eating?

there is anecdotal evidence that if you take it after a heavy meal. Or eat too much carbs or fatty food you will be very ill. Worth seeing if it’s that first.

Mounjaro. I took it Saturday lunch time after I had ate a bagel. Ate a yogurt yesterday but couldn't keep it down so haven't ate since.

Oh that’s not good, feels like you cannot take it. You can try doing half a dose at 1.25 and trying to build up but I think your body is saying no, so I’d try maybe wegovy but I’d not continue.

some people can’t take it, and about 15 percent of people it doesn’t work for.

The weird thing is, there is no pain or anything just can't keep down any foods or fluids. If it goes away by tomorrow I might try a lower dose but if not then I'll just give it up. Thanks for the advice.
