Golden dose question.

Just got 5.5ml of my 5mg pen in the golden dose.

Does anyone know what Mg that is please for my records? It's not quite 5 is it?

It can't be 5.5ml? A whole pen is only 2.4ml, plus the remainder which is around another 0.6ml so around 3ml or so in total in the whole pen. Did you mean 0.55ml?

Yes sorry, it's a 1ml syringe. So 0.55.

So, yes just under a normal dose of 0.6ml. I make it 4.6mg, for 0.55ml from a 5mg pen.

You're priming too much if that's all you got. It's usually more than a full dose - 0.7 or more.

To use the golden dose you must be keeping the pen for 5 weeks, I presume you're keeping it in the fridge and it's OK?

@Nowthereistwo you can do 5 doses within the 30 days, whether you keep it in the fridge or not. Days 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.

No, they're all within 30 days.

And there’s nothing ‘golden’ about the 5th dose!! Where the hell has that ridiculous name come from?

Because it's technically free? A 5th week in a very expensive pen? Sounds pretty golden to me.

@cakewench it worries me as it implies it is something other than another dose in the pen, that there’s something ‘different’ about it and it is likely to lead to the instances you see where some people are injecting it alongside the 4th dose as they haven’t computed it’s a whole other dose!

If people are that thick there's no help for them and they shouldn't be trusted with medication.

Anyone with 2 braincells can understand it's a bonus dose.
