Numan customer service

...is terrible.
I've been using their pens for a few months now and the current new one obviously has a fault as it won't press in to give the dose.
Numan's response is to tell me how to use the pen!! Or to pay £299 minus 25% for a new one.
Moral to the story.
Don't use Numan!!
A number of emails have been sent and no response...

OMG shocking & £299 before discounts is an insane price.

TheShellBeach · 11/11/2024 12:48

I gave up with them ages ago.
They're awful.

TheShellBeach · 11/11/2024 12:49

And Voy are no better.
They refused to honour my free pens.

Bastards.

So I'm with Medino now. 100% better.

SilenceInside · 11/11/2024 12:49

@lemonlavendar this may be a stupid question, but have you tried with a new needle? It can be due to the needle being faulty. Also, if you are up for using syringes, you can buy 1ml insulin syringes and manually extract the medication rather than waste the whole pen.

Putting aside Numans subscription service model and high end costs.......

What were you expecting, as a resolution?

I assume you had 3 successful injections out the pen and the 4th has failed?

25% discount sounds fair for the 25% of the pen you cannot access. Or if you don't want to stay with Numan a 25% refund of the price you paid would also be appropriate.

I expect a lot of the pharmacies are struggling with the financial and logistical issues of replacing "faulty" pens from people who are trying a fast one (not implying it is you), or not being in to accept deliveries (so not the fault of the provider or courier) then complaining the pens are not chilled, so this is the fair compromise that prevents costs rising for all of us.

Hi
No, it was a new pen so no doses were used...it's impossible to push the end in to supply the dose.
What I expect is a replacement pen and I'll happily return this useless one to them.
All avenues lead to nothing. But I shall keep persevering.

Have you tried a new needle?
That's usually the reason for a pen not working.

lemonlavendar · 11/11/2024 15:10

@SilenceInside and @Snozzlemaid
Thank you for your advice. It worked!!
MN to the rescue.
You'd have thought Numan could have told me that on the phone or in an email, wouldn't you!
And I'm going to look around for a new provider due to Numans incapacity to help.

Absolutely if brand new pen then if stuck on first dose!

Keep pushing for a full refund/replacement (plus they pay for the return of the faulty pen). Do they not have a number you can call? For those prices I would be expecting prompt responses.

Start making noises on Twitter etc. Last time I had a problem with poor/unfair service (Octopus) it was the only way to put a rocket up their allegedly "award winning" arse.

Redlightbulb · 11/11/2024 15:11

I would echo what others have said. Try a new needle. If same issue then use insulin needles to manually extract and then say bye bye Numan and then move to a different provider that offers a subscription service if that is what you want.

Snozzlemaid · 11/11/2024 17:13

@lemonlavendar Brilliant, glad you got it sorted.

This website is a good place to look to compare prices when you need to order again. https://monj.co.uk
