@rockingbird so glad youโ€™re feeling better. Will you be injecting on the same day this week?

@HansHolbein thank you, I think Iโ€™m going to give my body the chance to get right back down to the levels pre my last injection which according to Shotsy was 0.68. That takes me to about ten days post infection and Iโ€™d need another pen. If I give it another go Iโ€™d start at half a dose. Iโ€™ll see how I get on.

Wk2 Day5 feeling much better, still nauseous and still have diarrhoea. Did manage to eat a meal last night although I did then have tummy ache after!

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 07/11/2024 08:26

And a massive thanks to @recklessgran for my MedExpress code. Will be passing on if I get one issued to me!

rockingbird · 07/11/2024 09:06

Love the walking pad @crumbsonmyface it fits under the sofa when I'm done with it. I listen to a podcast and just walk at a brisk pace. @SunQueen24 going to stick with the same day/same dose. I feel the difference in weight without weighing myself, I'm a lot less bloated and more comfortable if that makes sense. Just praying the sickness/shaky feeling I seem to get from day two calms down!!

ThatVividCat · 07/11/2024 09:35

w3d1. I found this week to be ok but felt hungry yesterday. 3.2lb off this week so total of 9.2lb over the 2 weeks. not done all my measurements yet but 4.5inches off my waist over the 2 weeks!

crumbsonmyface · 07/11/2024 09:46

@SunQueen24 glad to hear youโ€™re on the mend too, even if itโ€™s still a bit rough. Shotsy has been so useful to track good days against estimated medicine in system. Hope the break helps, but keep us posted if you decide to re-inject x

@rockingbird itโ€™s getting so dark and miserable out there, walking pad sounds like a great idea. Which one have you got?

@ThatVividCat well done - thatโ€™s a really good loss over 2 weeks!

For those of you that reached your first month, how did it go, and whatโ€™s your total loss? โ˜บ๏ธ

rockingbird · 07/11/2024 10:23

@crumbsonmyface I have this one - Goyouth Under Desk Treadmill, Fitness Electric Treadmill with Remote Control, Walking Jogging Machine : amzn.eu/d/dK0KrQr

I've found it very good value and you can walk or run on it - I obviously don't run with my knee injury. Back to the consultant next week to hear my fate ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I think I am going to keep injecting in to the stomach if the no side effects continue, felt so much better than the last 2 times, suppression seems the same though. Just about to order next pen and think I will go up to 5mg.

HansHolbein · 07/11/2024 11:03

@Missreginafalange Iโ€™m also doing well with the stomach so Iโ€™m going to continue with that too. It took me ages to decided whether to move up to 5mg but I did order it in the end. Itโ€™s in the fridge and ready to go on Monday! Shitting myself tbh lol.

Missreginafalange · 07/11/2024 11:04

@HansHolbein be interested to see how you find the 5mg, I have my 4th dose of 2.5mg on Tuesday and then will move up.

RunSlowTalkFast · 07/11/2024 11:49

My 5mg pen from iqdoctor did arrive yesterday so will be taking my first dose later today.

After no (or very, very mild) affects of 2.5mg I'm feeling hopeful!

RunSlowTalkFast · 07/11/2024 11:50

Is there anyone who had no suppression on 2.5mg who has now started 5mg and noticed a difference?

crumbsonmyface · 07/11/2024 12:02

Hey all, I just wondered if anyone has experienced this before? My partner injected my 5th dose into my stomach (same as every week). He held it in for the allocated time, but when he pulled out the needle there was a bit of liquid dribbling out.

Has anyone had this before?

(Will catch up on the rest of the thread soon!)

PickleSarnie · 07/11/2024 12:10

Afternoon! My 5mg pen arrived. Supposed to be doing the first jab today but I am feeling so ill. Not a side effect of MJ I don't think. I think it's either a bug or stress or a bit of both. My suppression has worn off entirely and I'm eating toast for the first time in a month because I'm feeling sorry for myself.

Would you jab today or wait until tomorrow when hopefully feel a bit better. One day of toast can't hurt too much right?

I've had it on my last one. It doesn't appear to be an issue. From the guidance

"Itโ€™s normal for there to be a drop of the medicine on the needle when you remove it โ€” do not try to use it"

Really hoping it works for you, I know it's been frustrating but keeping my fingers crossed for a good result! Did you do a bonus dose from the old pen? If so how much did you get? I only got around 3mg and had slightly more suppression than week 4 on 2.5mg.
Let us know how you get on with 5mg

I did the bonus dose with a syringe and managed to get 0.71ml so a slightly higher dose. After about a day I had breakfast one morning and then ate nothing until 2pm which is unheard if for me so I think it had some sort of affect. Didn't happen again though ๐Ÿ˜„ fingers crossed for 5mg!

Bellablahhole · 07/11/2024 13:35

Weigh in day again and I've lost another 1.6lb. 5 weeks on 2.5mg and it has been good for me. I've been lucky to have only mild side effects and losses every week. However, food noise is much louder now and supression has reduced, so I've made the decision to move up to 5mg, which I took this morning. Hoping it will be the right move.

My 7.5mg pen arrived today and is safely in the fridge. Glad I decided to dose up I took my 4th 5mg on Tuesday and the suppression is not as good as it has been. I am operating about 60% on willpower 40% on suppression at the minute.

I'm awaiting insulin needles arriving and I'll be taking the bonus dose this time.

I have lost a few lbs since last week so looking forward to weigh in day tomorrow, but it's definitely slowing down to a more reasonable level now.

crumbsonmyface · 07/11/2024 14:54

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 - thank you that's reassuring. I wasn't sure if it was a mistake this time haha x

Relaxedandchilled · 07/11/2024 17:09

Well Iโ€™m away with work, and entering the hotel some sleazy middle aged bloke in a suit was staring at me and eyeing me up and down, in that bloke pervy way, head turn, full on perving, so I guess losing weight has suddenly made me visible again. Havenโ€™t had that for a while, and as much as I was used to it before I got fat, and completely ignored it, now it made me feel uncomfortable, really uncomfortable,

every silver lining has its cloud I guess

Hello all

Did anyone else lose the plot over the weekend?! We were out with friends and I went a little nuts - pizza, wine and pudding. The full works and I was hungry. No one is going to guess I am on Ozempic! ๐Ÿ˜

Weigh in today and down 2 pounds which is a miracle but definitely time to head to 5mg for me and hope it drowns the food noise, the side effects are ok and helps me keep focus on long term, sustainable weight loss (with some treats here and there).

SW - 14.1
W1 - 13.10
W2 - 13.8
W3 - 13.6

Goodluck to those weighing in today. Slow and steady is my mantra this week.

Edited

Totally fell off the wagon this weekend - hoping next week when I increase dose helps get me back on track!

Is there anyone who had no suppression on 2.5mg who has now started 5mg and noticed a difference?

I have very little suppression on 2.5mg moved up
to 5mg and yes noticing a difference suppression but also feeling full very quickly - seeing the impact wear off as I get to close to injection day tomorrow but did notice a big difference.
