@ItsMintUpNorth at least itโ€™s not just me! Itโ€™s more of an off feeling then actually being sick.

Iv had a 1 finger twix today though and thatโ€™s all. I just donโ€™t overly fancy any food, I look in the fridge and go MEH๐Ÿ˜‚ donโ€™t want any of that ๐Ÿ˜‚ and itโ€™s full with loads of fresh fruit and stuff I can eat.

@Bakedpumpkin oh no that sucks, I donโ€™t think my 5mg kicked in for a couple of days though to be honest. I agree with the drop in temp, Iv been cold for a couple of nights now. I could eat a nice stew!

Fizzleaway1 · 19/11/2024 12:31

Also I just wanted to say that I ordered my 7.5mg pen today. I donโ€™t need it yet but I wanted to have it in the fridge ready and it was really easy to reorder on IQ doctor.
I just logged into my account, selected the pen, added it to the basket, entered my height and weight again and it pre populated the rest of the details. I then paid and I didnโ€™t have to fill the form out again.

I think IQ doctor seem to be the cheapest place to get it at the moment (without referral codes).

Hi all

I've had 5x 2.5mg, 1x 3.75mg and 1x 5mg. I injected on Sunday night and feel pretty dreadful today! Very tired, sulphur burps and feeling sick. I am hoping this passes soon!

I've lost 7kg in total over 6 weeks. Weight loss is pretty steady now at 1kg a week which is fine by me.

I'm going to go back to 3.75mg again next week. That seemed to work well for me - was still able to enjoy a meal but not over eat.

Missreginafalange · 19/11/2024 13:11

@Pegsmum our starting weight, height and current weight are very similar (5'7 SW 15.6 CW 14.5) same as you i am not sure about the GW, i wanted to be in the healthy BMI range but that would take me in to the low 11s and think i will just have to see how it goes.

Weigh in 4 for me and lost a pound this week, so that take me to 15 pounds lost, going to go for the bonus dose tonight but try and get 3.75mg out of it before going up to 5mg next week.

Injected in to stomach last two weeks and had minimal side effects, so thinking of continuing there for now.

MissSmith80 · 19/11/2024 15:57

SW - 85kgs
CW - 77.3
This weeks loss - 0.8kgs
Christmas goal - 77kgs (so near and yet so far)
Target weight - 65/6 kgs

Just injected 3.75 using clicks on a new 5mg pen. Felt ropey last week having injected just under 3mg so going up to 5 was a bit daunting.

I'm pleased with my 0.8 kg loss this week as I've been eating a bit more normally with the types of food. I'm eating our family meals again (just couldn't face them for the first few weeks so had soup etc). This feels much more sustainable and I'm enjoying food again, just not so much of it and all reasonably healthy - no crisps, cake, chocolate in 5 weeks now. I don't drink alcohol anyway.

People are beginning to notice too which is nice and I feel like I am carrying myself better - walking taller.

Good luck for the rest of the week and thanks again everyone for adding to this thread - I read every post and take so much from them xx

ItsMintUpNorth · 19/11/2024 16:03

Arghh day 3 of my second 5mg jab and my appetite is back with a vengeance I'm so hungry, I had to eat two lunches as the small leftover bowl of pasta I had planned didn't fill me up!

Bellablahhole · 19/11/2024 18:06

@ItsMintUpNorth I'm on my 2nd 5mg jab (took it on Thursday) and was ravenous on Sunday, but better supression yesterday. I've found my appetite is going up and down on this dose. Today was a bit of both. Very odd! That said, I've only ever had moderate appetite supression on every dose. Hope it gets better for you.

UtterlyQuackers · 19/11/2024 18:11

@Mummy20213x0 sending best wishes xx

Iwouldratherbesinging · 19/11/2024 18:35

@Mummy20213x0 thank you for sharing, I hope that you are ok x

Fizzleaway1 · 19/11/2024 18:35

@ItsMintUpNorth could you try and have some fruit, sugar free jelly, cucumber/pepper sticks with low fat dip, popcorn, can of fizzy pop to fill you up โ€ฆ I always have these kind of things in the house as they are all low calorie..

My other shit tips for avoiding hunger is go to bed, take a bath, brush your teeth or take a walk ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Fizzleaway1 · 19/11/2024 18:38

@ItsMintUpNorth also I took my first 5mg and didnโ€™t think the suppression was great so Iโ€™m now injecting 2.5mg ever 4 days apart instead and I think thatโ€™s worked better this second week as it gives you a little bump every few days.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 19/11/2024 18:39

Iโ€™ve finally lost my first stone! Itโ€™s taken me six weeks but Iโ€™m extremely happy ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
I seem to be finally getting a handle on the constipation, not sure which one is working but Iโ€™m taking magnesium citrate, 5 prunes every day and a gentle stool softener every other day.

Missreginafalange · 19/11/2024 19:42

Bonus dose was a total disaster for me, I managed to twist the pen to get 2.5mg. Went to inject and the dial just swizzled round without pushing the medicine in. I even tried afterwards doing it to see if I could get the liquid but nope. So I had to use my 5mg pen a week earlier than I wanted so will see how I fare tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

ItsMintUpNorth · 19/11/2024 20:02

@Fizzleaway1 to be fair it's not actually been too hard to ignore it, got plenty of healthy snacks in and even though my stomach has been rumbling all day I've not actually really thought about snacking so just shows the MJ is still working in some ways! That's interesting about splitting the dose I might give that a go thank you, also might try a different injection site as I've only ever done my tummy.

@Bellablahhole that's interesting but yes like you say a bit odd! I guess time will only tell to see what happens the rest of the week!

Fizzleaway1 · 19/11/2024 20:02

What has everyone had for supper tonight?

I had a late lunch (2pm) and I have skipped supper but starting to get slightly hungry now.

Brilliant well done! Also glad you've found a routine to help with the constipation

HansHolbein · 19/11/2024 20:37

@MissSmith80 Amazing! Well done you!

@Iwouldratherbesinging Lovely, well done. The first stone feels so good!

@Fizzleaway1 Chicken & potato bake with vegetables tonight. Was really nice.

Iโ€™m going to have to stop having the 40g protein shake in the morning. It is filling me up for the whole day and then I am struggling to eat dinner. Iโ€™m also getting in my own head about the sugar content etc..

Day 2 of 5mg and itโ€™s going well. No nausea like I had last week.

I havenโ€™t had any more ball sacks but Iโ€™m finding dried apricots are helping with the loo situation..

HansHolbein · 19/11/2024 21:11

Another thing.. what are we doing about clothes? My trousers are starting to get baggy. But is there any point in getting new trousers if Iโ€™m going to need to do it again in another month? I suppose I could get a couple of pairs from Asda to tide me over.

Bakedpumpkin · 19/11/2024 21:18

Day 2 5mg and still donโ€™t feel any different !! Aghhhh

Iโ€™m day three on 5mg, and Iโ€™ve definitely felt it todayโ€ฆ

Pegsmum · 19/11/2024 21:34

@Missreginafalange Good luck with your first 5mg, I hope it goes well with no side effects.

EricTheGardener · 19/11/2024 22:15

Everyone is doing so well, which I'm taking encouragement from. I started on the 3rd Oct and only just hit a stone off yesterday, so exactly 7 weeks. Took a bit longer than I was hoping but I'm menopausal with PCOS so maybe par for the course.

I've been working my way up gradually through the 5mg pen as I was worried about side effects, despite not having a single one while on 2.5mg.

I started on 3.75mg, then went up to 4mg - all fine, good suppression. Last week went up to 4.25mg and was planning on doing 4.5 or 4.75 this week before moving to 5mg on the next pen. However, on the 4.25mg I did get some uncomfortable effects on the 2nd and 3rd day - quite bad nausea and non-stop belching for a couple of hours. Not sure why as didn't eat anything 'bad' that could have triggered it. However, yesterday and today (3rd and 4th day) have been fine. So hopefully just a blip, but did make me glad I didn't jump to 5mg straight away. Even though I'd had no issues, I do have quite a sensitive stomach so didn't want to risk it.

SW: 16 st 2.4lbs
CW: 15 st 1.6 lbs
Total loss: 14.8 lbs in 7 weeks.
5'7"

I can't really notice much difference in my clothes yet - my jeans feel exactly the same around my waist though maybe a bit baggier around the thighs. I'm such a bloody classic apple shape - my fear is this will stay exactly the same and I'll end up looking like a balloon on stilts.

rockingbird · 19/11/2024 22:31

I've had a much better day today eating. Managed to get soup down me for lunch and a tuna salad for dinner with some boiled eggs - belching has been constant but I can handle that ๐Ÿ˜Š

Evenstar · 19/11/2024 22:53

Just to warn anyone who has been constipated, donโ€™t go too mad with remedies, I have had terrible diarrhoea this evening, I went up to 5mg on Friday so wondering if that is why.
