Hives

I’ve just taken my fourth 2.5mg Mounjaro injection and I’ve been increasingly bothered by hives all over my torso and upper legs. I can’t remember now if the hives came before or after I started the medication.

Has anyone experienced similar?

I just get it at the injection site. Wears off just in time for the next dose! Have you tried antihistamines? I used Fexofenadine.

I get an injection site reaction, but only around the injection site. Be careful it is not a worsening allergic reaction, I got head to toe hives within minutes last time I was exposed to penicillin (a tiny drop of ds's when he was a baby) and I've been told to avoid penicillin now.

It would be worth sending photos to your provider or showing your local pharmacist before your next injection.

Yep..I've had hives with awful diahorrea and vomiting after 3rd dose of 7.5mg.taking an enforced break now as it was the same after 4th and 5th dose. So debilitating.
Been off 2 weeks now...food noise horrendous..I think I'm going to go back to 2.5 and start again. I hope you're ?? side effects improve soon .

You really need medical advice, as an allergic reaction can suddenly become very serious.

Does it respond to antihistamines?

Like others, I only get a reaction at the injection site.
