Typical meal plan

My very first pen is arriving today. I need to do the weekly food shop today (5 of us). What should I be eating / buying for myself? Midweek meals are usually quick like pasta or baked potato. Anything extra I might need to buy? Thinking of what to take for lunch for work? Usually have soup and yogurt.
I'm feeling really nervous about what to expect.

Can you tell me what a typical meal plan might be please?

My understanding is that you should be aiming for high fibre high protein.

It what I have done and I have lost just over 2 stone in 9 weeks (still a long way to go) and had no negative side effects, apart from some constipation at the beginning.

But I think different thinks work for different people. I usually have yoghurt for breakfast. I mix flaxseed in to get fibre up. Have it with some fruit.

Soup could be good or bad depending on what it is. A lot of people seem to feel a bit crap if they eat anything too rich or fatty. So what the soup is might make a difference.

If you Google what to eat on Mounjaro this comes up

There’s a thread called what I ate today on Mounjaro - some good ideas there.
The things I aim for with every meal:
Protein
High fibre, low carb (lots of veg, salad and some fruit)
Avoid UPFs
At least 2l of water every day

Regarding your comment about soup - I’ve changed my recipes and always make sure I put pulses (eg lentils) and/or chicken in all recipes.

Any carbs you do have - reduce the portion and swap to brown rice, pasta etc

Current research is use whole fats - not low fat.
good luck!

This thread is a wealth of ideas and advice:

Prioritise protein. If you have high suppression straightaway (some do) you won’t be able to tolerate a lot of starchy carbs, and from a nutritional point of view they are a waste.

Protein, veg, fruit and fibre is what you need to plan for

You wont want pasta or a baked potato. You will want either soup or a yogurt for lunch - unlikely both.

Breakfast choices: yogurt or porridge, fruit, protein shake or egg
Lunch choices: soup or yogurt, protein shake
Dinner: protein plus green veg

I keep protein shakes and bars in for when I can't face actual food.
