W1 D6 - Hunger returns, anyone jabbed a day early?

I've had good suppression so far on 2.5, but food noise is back today, and hunger this evening.

I'm a bit tempted to jab a day early if I wake up feeling really hungry. Anyone done this?

I completely agree. This medicine is strong stuff. Yes, you might be okay accelerating the doses but you also might be really poorly. Give your body time to build up to a therapeutic level as recommended. A bit of hunger has to be managed. Suppression for me always wears off gradually after day four.

I agree and at least you know it’s only one day of food noise and hunger and then it will
be gone again and it’s good to try to manage that knowing there’s an end so that longer term you gain that skill as you lose weight as at some point you have to come off the medication

For what it’s worth, you can change the day of your injection in line with official advice. I used to inject on Tuesdays as that was merely the day it was delivered. I sought advice from my pharmacy and gradually changed it to Thursdays to allow for stronger suppression/side effects over the weekend. This means I’m less likely to have side effects when I’m at work. I tend to get quite thirsty/dehydrated in the days after my injection so this suits me, and also prevents any weekend binging.

I agree that it’s not a good idea to take the medication early specifically to avoid hunger. It’s best to see weight loss/dieting on MJ as a weekly endeavour as opposed to a daily endeavour. On some days of the week you will eat less and on other days you will eat more - it will overall, balance out over the course of the week and result in a net loss. Constantly having high hunger suppression all week isn’t good, it can push your body into a malnourished state where you’re losing hair etc. Whilst GLP-1 medication for weight loss is relatively new, it has existed for years and years and I think
you need to trust that 1 day of extra hunger isn’t going to throw you off track for your entire course of treatment.

I'm not sure its about gatekeeping. The OP reads a bit like "omg it looks like I might be hungry for ONE DAY" and her solution is to mess with the dosage.

There's a certain group of people using WLI that seem to have this assumption that they will/should never feel hungry again. In which case what the hell happens when they stop the drug? They will get hungry...

Posters responses were all wrong, but there could be a bit more education around "living with" being hungry now and then, and using the injections to help with that. Many of us have a sort of low level fear of hunger which is why we're fat in the first place. I'm trying to use that day where it starts to wear off to move away from that hunger = panic = eat everything rather than fuck with the dosage and bury my head in the sand.

To be fair to the OP, that's exactly why she was posting - to ask, learn and get advice. Posters could have talked about all the sensible stuff you mentioned without the insults and judgements.

I agree with the pp that MJ gatekeepers and 'experts' need to check themselves when posters are being put off asking questions like this. I really hate to see it - we're all in this together and we all need support.

Anyway, I checked my Voy instructions - changing the day 3 days either way is absolutely fine, so there we go.

I agree @Mydogisnuts it's a shame that the responses get so heated.
