Yesterday I accidentally injected about 4cm from my bb. I haven’t had any unusual reactions but I’m curious as to the reasoning behind the instructions to inject a minimum of 5cm from the bb. Does anyone know why? This is for mounjaro.

There is a tough connective tissue called fascia under the belly button that cannot absorb medication. The tissue surrounding the belly button is tougher and can affect the absorption of the medication. Injecting near the belly button can also cause swelling or pain.

Damn. I hope I missed that!

You'll be fine especially if it's not bothering you. It's just best practice not to but if you happen to do so and you're okay, I wouldn't worry about it.
