MJ and caring for skin

Has anyone got a recommendation for the best lotion/cream to use while losing weight on MJ to give it the best chance of springing back.

I am taking collagen, but want to do as much as possible to stop the loose skin!

You can't prevent it I'm afraid as it's largely down to your genetics, your age, how much you have to lose and pure luck. All the collagen and protein and firming creams in the world won't make a difference if it's going to happen

However, having said all that, it doesn't hurt to be proactive and it's mentally beneficial to feel you're 'doing something' and you can certainly do things that may improve the appearance of the skin

So if you want to use collagen and body oils then crack on. But don't expect miracles and don't focus too much on loose skin and whether it may or may not happen. It can be a form of self sabotage to do so

Oh and for a recommendation for you for a really nice body cream - Clinique Deep Comfort is very nice indeed!

As @BatFaceGiirll has said, all the pills and potions in the world may not make a huge difference but it doesn’t hurt to try!

I take a good quality ‘hair, skin and nail ‘ supplement, drink plenty of water plus use a body scrub in the shower and then Nivea Q10 firming body lotion afterwards. It’s only £4.99

On a positive, having lost almost 4 stone on MJ, my skin tone and elasticity is much better than I imagined. Not too bad at all for a 54 year old!

I also read that it can take about 12 months for our skin to ‘bounce’ back 🤞🏻

Previous posters are correct, it's unfortunately something that just happens, more so as we age. The younger you are, the more elasticity your skin has and thus more chance of it bouncing back a bit. If you're older, it's less likely.

The creams don't really work (and I know those are fighting words but by all means, check with a dermatologist. Genetics are the most important factor really!) and are quite expensive. The one linked above is a good one to try as it's not pricey at all.

I love Elemis superfood midnight facial, it gives my skin moisture and bounce but doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.
I'm 42 and often get told I look 28, 2 people said this within last month, I still get asked for ID for buying knives! I do stay out of the sun at peak times and don't drink or smoke. Someone recently said I don't have any wrinkles, just laughter lines! Retinol is also great for anti ageing and I also take a skin, hair and nail supplement as well as omega 3 and multivitamin.
