Do I need to keep new pen cold

Hi everyone, due to start my 3rd pen on Sunday night. To date I’ve been keeping my pen in the fridge until I start to use it then I’ve kept it out of the fridge after the first injection.

Im due to go away for a few days on Saturday and will need to take my new, unused pen (which is currently sat in the fridge) with me to inject on Sunday night. Can I just take it out the fridge and leave out til Sunday night, or should I bring my injection forward? Unsure what to do

I'd just inject on Saturday before you go instead as well.

They say once out the fridge then 30 days. So I would take it with you and if u want to keep Sunday as jab day then I would.. you can still get 5 dose out of that within 30 days too.. take out fridge day 1, inject day 2, 8, 15, 22 and 29 . So in theory it's all good..

I'd bring the injection forward then no need to worry about taking it with.

@2024onwardsandup you can choose to store the pen in the fridge all the time, which is what I do. But you don't have to, it's fine at room temp (assuming below 30 deg C!) for the 30 days.

On MJ 7 months …I keep mine on the fridge now . One month I had it out of the fridge to travel to Spain and back at the end of the pen and it was definitely less effective than before at the same dose . This was more than 30
days.
With other pens they have been 2 months but no loss of effectiveness if kept chilled.

Can you store in the fridge when you get to your destination and use a chilly bottle/ insulated mug ?

I keep mine in the fridge. When I travel, I freeze the gel packs they were delivered with and wrap so the pen stays cold. Then I put the pen in the fridge when I reach my destination. I've never had trouble getting them through airport security.

Thanks all. Unfortunately, I won’t have a fridge when I arrive. I prefer taking the injection at night, so I might wrap it in the gel packs and take it with me then inject on Saturday night. - luckily no flying involved!
