Cystitis

Anyone have cystitis or increased frequency of urination as a side effect? Not sure if this is coincidence but I'm struggling the last day or so with cystitis. I've had no other side effects at all - feel perfectly fine and actually really good on the meds aside from this.
I've noticed more frequent urination since starting mounjaro on 2.5 four weeks ago. I've got my 5mg pen ready to start next week but now I'm worried if this is a concerning side effect or just a coincidence. I dont suffer with cystitis at all, I've probably only had it a handful of times in my life and I'm 40.

I felt like I was getting cystitis in my third week and did a course of the over the counter sachets. I am prone to getting cystitis when I am dehydrated (particularly on holiday) so I put it down to not drinking enough.

I've got the sachets too and also in my 3rd week. I'm hoping it's just a coincidence, I was a tad worried about my kidneys.

I was also worried about my kidneys, especially as I had lower back pain, but I always have lower back pain, pre-MJ, I think it is muscular pain.

I googled the other symptoms of kidney problems and I don’t have any of the others and the sachets cleared up the cystitis. I am just coming to the end of week 5 now and everything seems fine.

Did you get this resolved? Did it come back? Really suffering with right now and waiting for the GP/pharmacy to open.
In my third week of MJ too.

Someone mentioned not drinking enough on mj - i think that's a fair point in this case, could be reason
Also, possibility, mj regulating your blood sugar too and that can increase sugar/ glucose discreation via your urine, this can increase chance of uti. I would talk to your GP or provider

Thank you for replying.

I have been drinking plenty of water as I know how important it is on MJ. I've never had a UTI before, this is really awful.

They're very short lived. I think I assumed in the end that it was coincidence for me because I have had cystitis a few times in the past. If it is in fact an MJ thing then it was still short lived. Go and get some Oasis (cystitis treatment - sold everywhere) and drink cranberry juice it'll go really quickly - it won't be a UTI as such just a bit of cystitis.

I also read that constipation can be a contributing factor for cystitis. So if the MJ has given you a bit of constipation that won’t help.

Hello, if you’re still experiencing cystitis, you may want to try this:

Protocol for Life Balance – D-Mannose Powder, 3 oz (85 g).

you will notice the improvement within just 2 days. It can feel almost like magic—though it’s important to read about it before use.
