Bonus Dose 2.4 pen

So I took the bonus dose today from the 2.4 pen. According to my insulin pen it was just under 1ml. How much of a dose does that equate to? I’ve been moved up to the 5 pen so should I take that too at some point this week or just wait until next dose?

All the pens are 2.4ml in volume. Did you mean a 2.5mg pen?

0.6ml is a full dose on any pen. 1ml from a 2.5mg pen would be 4.17mg.

If you've taken just over 4mg this week then don't take another dose! Wait until the next scheduled dose and take the first 5mg dose from your new pen. Unless you want to take 9mg in one week??

Yes 2.5ml pen. I took just under 1ml and just injected it without thinking about it and then realised I should have calculated the dose!!

Thank you, I’ll hold off taking anything more this week. My new dose is 5mg so I guess this provides a good bridge.
