W1D2 - sore neck and shoulders

Hi,

Obviously I'm new and on my second day. This morning I woke up with the back of my neck and shoulders feeling sore. Has anyone else experienced this? I've looked at many threads and I can't see it mentioned. I know the list of side effects mention swelling of the neck etc, which I don't have. Should I be worried?
Yesterday, a couple of hours after injecting, I felt bloated, and didn't fancy eating, but I felt that last Sunday too, so I'll take that sign with a large pitch of salt this early on 😂.

I've seen it mentioned fairly often on the long-running threads in this section, it seems like a fairly common side effect early on. I wouldn't worry about it unless it doesn't go away or gets worse.

I am on week 17. This is not something I have noticed anyone mentioning in MN or any facebook groups before.

Maybe one to ask your prescriber for advice.

Just wanted to reassure you that if you do an Advanced search for the keywords "mounjaro sore neck muscles" in the Weight loss injections/treatments section you will find people reporting the same thing as you. But of course, speak to your prescriber immediately if you are concerned and want some medical advice rather than feedback from people here.

It would be a shame if people were scared off posting their side effects.

I had a sore neck for a few days after taking my first dose.
My glands in my neck were swollen so that was why it was sore for me.
I've not experienced it again though.

I had this too! But it went away after a couple of days and I've not had it again in week 2 now :)

As I said it is not something I have seen anyone mentioning in any threads I have read. But obviously there are so many posts not everyone reads them all.

I never said or even implied anyone not to post about side effects....where did you get that from 🤔, just suggested their provider might be a source of help.........it is not a ridiculous suggestion

I got that on the same day as you, I was quite worried, bit it went away completely the following day

I got this too the day after first injection. It was like all my ‘fat’ was aching. Soon went and not had it again.

Had exactly the same shoulder and neck pain on day 2

And posted about it on here somewhere, there weren't a lot of other people here who'd mentioned it, but I found people had had similar on Reddit.

It was fine the next day, & hasn't happened again since.

Thank you. I feel better that a few of us have had this symptom. I guess it's just scary when you see the black box warning about stiff necks and swollen glands.

My neck is much better today and so far I've had no other symptoms. Hopefully that's a good sign.
