I'm so happy and can't really share with people in real life.

Started mounjaro 1 April and today hit 5st

my BMI has gone from 37.3 to 25.6,
SW 16st

My target is 10st so another stone to go but feel so great to have achieved this milestone in the journey.

Well done. Kudos for sticking with it.

fatbottomgirl67 · 20/10/2024 10:23

Wow that's amazing.
I'm so tempted to try it but worried about side effects

dontreallyknow85 · 20/10/2024 10:23

Massive well done to you, what an achievement xx

NewDogOwner · 20/10/2024 10:29

Fuck yeah! You are an inspiration. Treat yourself to something fabulous.

FergusSingsTheBIues · 20/10/2024 10:29

That’s incredible OP, I did that too and was ecstatic but felt I could confess to how much I’d lost! I hope you’re enjoying your transformed body, it’s such a relief isn’t it.

can I just ask, with injections does the weight fall off your stomach! Because I did keto which Is supposed to be particularly effective for visceral fat and it’s completely changed my shape.

WeAllHaveWings · 20/10/2024 10:36

5st is amazing well done! 🥳

It is great when others share these huge achievements makes it feel more real and possible. I hope to hit that too in the coming months. The big milestone numbers really do make it all worth while - I hit the 50lbs loss one this weekend - it made me a bit happy teary! 🥲

noclouds · 20/10/2024 10:56

Thank you everyone
No one except my DH know about the injections and it sometimes feels like cheating, but the amazing thing with mounjaro has been that food noise disappeared. And actually my brain feels like it has more space for other thoughts and I have taken up hobbies for the first time in years.

I have treated myself to some clothes on Vinted and have cleared out my wardrobe so have lots to sell as I am determined to not need the bigger sizes again

Really well done OP, that is fantastic. Just think of the improvement to your health - who cares if some people say its 'cheating' - ultimately it is saving your health just like any other medication so sod that! Enjoy your new slim self xxx

EliLilly · 20/10/2024 13:51

Amazing - very well done!! Inspiring - thank you for sharing! I've lost a bit over 2 st, trying to imagine what it will feel like to hit 5 st...and it is very good!😃

ThisMustBeMyDream · 20/10/2024 13:58

Oh wow! That was so fast!
I've lost 6st, started at 16st 13 and am now 10st 10, with 1 stone to go. Its taken 18 months (I'm on Saxenda).
I'd be thrilled with that kind of result! Well done!

HansHolbein · 20/10/2024 14:07

Mrsredlipstick · 21/10/2024 15:06

Well done. I'm selling my too big clothes too. I'm never wearing them again.
I've lost five stone dieting over two and a half years. Now I'm going for the jabs for the last four stone. I want to look like me before illness.
Good luck.

Searchingforthelight · 21/10/2024 15:08

That is so inspiring! Amazing

Bignanna · 21/10/2024 15:26

With such huge weight losses isn’t there loads of redundant skin?

VioletCrawleyForever · 21/10/2024 15:30

Thank you. That's really inspiring.

HippoPortlyMouse · 21/10/2024 15:48

Huge congratulations. Thank you for telling us! Lots of us here are just at the start or only a little way into our weight loss and it really helps to hear success stories. I'm sorry you're not able to tell anyone IRL. Can I ask if you've had to field awkward questions as your weight loss must be really noticeable? I've not got to that stage yet and wondering how to manage it.

Also you've not 'cheated'. Cheated who? You owe nothing to anyone for simply taking care of yourself.

Edited

yes unfortunately, but I have yo-yoed with my weight for the last 20 years so I had lose skin anyway.

My stomach definitely has an overhand and has had for years.

yes I have, I turn it into a joke and say not eating as much, which is actually true Grin

What helps is I usually don't eat much during the day and have a normal meal in the evening. So if I go out, I just choose a healthier option people see me having one drink and eating.
